Thanks for the updates P :)

Megan: Your husband can be as unhelpful as he likes - if you have any joint finances then any trouble you are in HE is in so he may as well get his backside in gear to help you NOW rather than later :)
Before we can really advise you on what path to take forward we really really do need your soa so we can determine what the state of play is... It may be a DMP, it might be that we can help you juggle things to lower aprs and lower your payments but until we get that SOA we simply won't know :)
Remember you are never alone and even if you can't get online you can always call the samaritans. They don't judge you and they are very nice people :)

  • I've just read your post Meganr

I felt the same i thought i was going to lose everything i had worked so hard for - but you can do this, the people on here are amazing and they keep me going, i was about to give up i'd been reading the board and trying the challenges without actually posting on here and i felt like i was getting no where untill i did my sums and discovered the advice these people had given me had helped me pay off £3k in 3 months! i now find i have money over at the end of the week (i get paid weekly) rather than more week left at the end of my money..

Its scary i know but take the advice on here, speak to CCCS or something like that just telling someone felt like a huge weight..I hit a low when i finally opened my bills after months of ignoring them, then i set up a DMP and i haven't looked back my mortgage was in litigation and i've pulled that back - i have 3 more over payments and then i'm up to date and i thought i would be homless this xmas and its thanks to the support and inspiration from this board

    1. You can beat this - look at what you have acheived with the loan!
    2. You are NEVER alone we are all in the same boat with the same fears
