One thing is demonstrated quite clearly both on this thread and in general is that labour voters do vitriol much better than theTories which also demonstrates why Labour are a much better prospect when in opposition than there right(well, just right of centreish) wing opponents. It frustrates the hell out of me how inept DC, GO etc are at exposing Labour failings. !!!!!! it isn't hard is it?

I hate the Tories, and I think Cameron is a young twit, along with Osbourne. Tory toffs born with silver spoons and totally chinless wonders.

    However.

I think Brown and the rest of Labour need a kicking - for all the obvious reasons. Not least perhaps for kicking me time and time again with stealth taxes. I don't mind paying (a bit of) tax to help people - but for overpaid consultants and a war in Iraq - no thanks matey.

I am genuinely shocked to see Labour have got so many votes. What is wrong with these people can they not see the mess Labour have got this country in. It will take 10-15 years to recover from 10 years of Gordonomics.

OK it is bad but we would have had a downturn anyway (given the world situation) and it could have been accompanied by damaging social divisions, even civil unrest which would have left us in deeper poo.
  • I do agree that i am also shocked how incompetantthe tories have been in exposing Browns part in this mess. How hard can it be they must have at least 20 different places to start, but no they just sit there saying nothing.
  • Brown stoked up the boom by removing crazy house price inflation, ran up colossal debts during the boom when he should have been paying them off, then turned round and blamed the US for his own misdeeds when his bubble burst. He announces more and more borrowing to spend money we cannot afford to mask a recession he engineered in preparation for an election he dare not call. We will be paying for Brown's fiscal incontinence for years to come, and so will our children. In all probability, the UK will still be paying off Brown's debts long after the man himself has shuffled off his mortal coil and gone to the great debtor's prison in the sky. It isn't "jam tomorrow", but "caviar today, and the grandchildren are paying! Hurrah for New Labour!"

"Spend, spend," comes the cry from the Treasury, as Darling mortgages our futures with yet more debt, to pay for a temporary ineffectual tax cut. "So what!" comes the reply, as shoppers who failed to be persuaded by reductions of 20%, 30%, or 50%, wonder what good a cut of 2.5% will do, especially if it pushes the Treasury even further into the red and puts a stop to any recovery when taxes rise later in order to pay for the folly. 800 soon-to-be empty Woolworths stores are monuments to Brown's mismanagement of the UK economy. These tombstones in the high street will be joined by many others over the coming months as the debt mountain Brown created rises like a colossus, leaving us in shadow for a generation or two to come. What a miserable prospect, and the thought of five more years of the self-serving, self-righteous incompetent fool who put us here fills me with disgust. I don't feel inspired by the Tories, and I suspect much of the country feels the same way, but needs must as the devil drives. The country is crying out for change, and we, as voters, must do what needs to be done. Collectively, we must put an end to the insanity of this debtfest, this frenzy of borrowing, this orgy of collective mania that continues to pull us in to the stinking cesspit of usury. We may be stuck with the Brown bust, but that does not mean we are stuck with Brown.

Lib Dem for me. We have a moderately useless MP, Labour have no hope, and the Tories have put forward a really slimy creep. And no-one can blame me for whichever useless PM we end up with. I really despise NuLabour, but then I hear the Tories preaching privatisation and de-regulation and wonder if they have really grasped what is going on.

Labour have reduced OUR country (yes, yours and mine!) to a laughing stock! What was once GREAT BRITAIN is now LITTLE BRITAIN!

We are spiralling downwards and are on a par with a third world country in many ways!

It's an outrage that this government have forced upon us thousands and thousands of asylum seekers (who are NOT true asylum seekers - they just want to sponge off of YOU and ME!). This government put them up in houses which WE need and they give them PRIORITY!

This country has become a cesspit. We are now a very poor country in terrifying debt and the High Streets will soon be looking like Ghost Towns full of empty decaying tombs!

BECAUSE of BROWN many of us live in fear because we now have an understaffed, inept police force (some of whom themselves have criminal convictions!) and soaring crime where criminals laugh at the pathetic law!

We are taxed very dearly by this government and we are spied on, even our DUSTBINS are spied on! - we are robbed as motorists, we have a failing NHS, shockingly bad state schools, overflowing prisons, taxed to the hilt on everything (our council tax is disgustingly high considering the sloppy services we have) - some councils only collect your rubbish every 2 weeks!!

Yet the government employ people to do uneccessary jobs (like walking around counting lamposts - I kid you not!) because they want to be seen as giving equal opportunities to people who actually aren't up to the job!

This government favours people who they deem to be 'different' (how patronising is that?!) people who are gay, or black, disabled - they'll be given the jobs in the local council - even if they're not up to it. NO WONDER OUR STANDARDS HAVE NOSEDIVED!....and if you are a non-English speaking immigrant you'll be sure of being given priority in healthcare - you'll be fastracked! And before anyone accuses me of racism - I'm not racist! But I'm sick of being treated like a second class citizen simply because
I'm white, able-bodied, straight, and can speak English!

If the truth be known Brown and his bunch of rotten eggs despise the citizens of this country. They take the p%ss out of us and manipulate thick folk to vote for them. Brown is getting RICH by destroying us, just as Blair and his sponging big gobbed wife has!

Blair was actually a Tory in Red Tie - and Brown is too. But as the old saying goes, you can put a pig in a suit but you'll not stop it grunting!

LABOUR has RUINED our country! And WE have to pay for their dreadful mistakes!
