  • Thank you Jinky-I think the point I was trying to make (badly) was that sometimes, life throws a curveball-I never understood depression, let alone believed I was in the throes of it-I shook me to my foundations-I just *couldnt* do what I used to do, I just *wasn't* who I used to me. I am working on it, honest.

Bunny, you're so much more of a beautiful person now, than you were before. You're mum to your gorgeous children.

You're no less successful, bright or attractive. You're still Bunny, and more besides ;)

I don't know that I'm who I used to be before having DS Bunny, it changes you - or I think it does anyway. That's not a bad thing though, we all change a bit or we'd be bloomin dull. Life happens and you adapt but I kind of get what you are saying about not being your old self too. I think you are getting too hung up on the weight thing, can you not be yourself while you are a wee bit bigger? I don't mean this to sound cruel but it's as if you think by losing the weight the old you will return but would you?

I know exactly what you mean:A

  • I agree with Jinks. We can never be the 'old' person we once were and probably go through a series of skin shedding over the years. I was a different person at 19, to 29 and at 39 next year, I know I'm a different person again because of life's journey. True, some aspects of me do run through all 3 people, but some aspects of me (both good and bad) are definitely gone, but some other aspects (again, both good and bad) are there instead.

Perhaps it is about thinking about finding out what 'new' aspects of the Bunny you now are and recognising how fantastic a person you actually are. I'm hating my shortened fuse but I'm loving the Keren who can now stand up and speak in front of 20 people about a subject - even 2 years ago, any kind of presenting filled me with dread and now I'm teaching!!!

Cos you are fantastic Bun ;)

  • :o I think that, if I lost weight some how I would be me again,

I won't lose weight tho, cos what would I do if that didn't work and I was still miserable then what would I do! everything is always going to happen when I am thin!:o :o
    Nevertheless she persisted.

    good point Skinty:T

you weight Bun has nothing to do with who you are as a person.......that comes from the heart.....ok you may not be happy carrying extra weight but you can do something about it.
But you need to accept yourself as you are first hun:A
