  • It's official, I've now found the bedroom floor, that's 2 floors in 2 days, it must be a record & I need a lie down now to recover from the shock!!

    Hi LW
After clearing out ex MIL's loft twice in 5 years, I won't allow anything in mine.
    Hugs Hester
Mr LW already had the loft full of [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] valuable stuff when I came to live with him, and our bungalow is quite tiny, so we have to store some stuff up there. I just wish he wasn't such a hoarder of cardboard boxes!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Afternoon, I've just come out of our loft.
Made 2 table decorations (mainly from garden cuttings) this morning so finished with all the "bits and bobs" which are now in the loft. I keep saying "must get that sorted" but that it is as far as it goes.

Managed to drag myself to do the washing and the vacuuming. Of course, the job was a mare because I am feeling so tired this week. Been putting it off but had to get on today.

Son's doctor stressing us, lost his details for his sick note. He will be going in tomorrow to see them then OH will take his note to his work:(.

My OH hasn't been very nice today but I guess he has his issues too. Not helpful to me tho:(

I have sent him out to do the shopping, I hear it is hell out there. He has a cheque to bank, so had to go out anyway.

Our son is hosting Christmas but we have to do most of it as he had an op 2 weeks ago. So next 3 days is taking stuff round to his then OH will be cooking it for 6 of us at our son's.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

Hi all- just a quick note on the clutter thing- I've just spent 2 weeks clearing out my ex mother in laws house after she died and she was a real clutter junkie- we had to go through every card, photo, box, pile of books and deal with them and my ex found it heartbreaking. I've vowed now to get my junk sorted so that I don't put my children through the same heartbreak- in the end someones got to clear your junk up when you go, and its really not fair to expect loved ones to do it for you.My aim is to get my clutter down to a suitcase full- thats enough for anyone I think.

  • justpeyton4now - have you tried making soda bread? Also there is a recipe somewhere in a pit in this house for rolls that really are only good for the hour after they are made but I think are called emergency rolls. You may find it with google as I am not able to find anything today. Neither of these uses yeast. Also, I would experiment in yeast reduction and also perhaps changing brands.

    Hugs to all.

Thanks so much! Off to hunt down some recipes now.:j

    Afternoon/Evening everybody :santa2:

This is the first chance I've had to come in since DS1,DIL and our DGD's came to stay, it's been lovely having them with us, but now they've gone it's all gone flat, as it usually does.
I was ok yesterday until DGD1 said "Nanny I will really miss you when we go home"and then flung her arms around me.... awwww

I sat down at about 9pm to watch TV last night and promptly fell asleep so decided to give up and go to bed, and....woke at 8.00am this morning:o Just time for a shower, then some porridge before going to pick up my new specs.
Then off to the bank and shopping all very exciting....NOT.....;)

Pizza for Dinner later, nice and quick then I can sit down and relax.

I havent read through yet I will do later,
Hope all the poorlys are feeling better now,
(((hugs))) for all in need x

    Evening all,

Had a really busy day, spent most of it shopping, went to 4 shops and picked up the bargains in each, got loads of nice bits, and should not have to go out for a while now, apart from bread etc.

Welcome to Skint Catt, they are scarfs in Hesters avatar, which she knitted herself x
