You've all been busy! It's taken me AGES to catch up!

Valli - glad you're better. Thanks for the text.

Thank you all for the hugs & good wishes about my grandfather... I'm now feeling guilty that I'm not more upset :o but we weren't particuarly close. My grandmother died 58 years ago, and he remarried when my mother was in her late teens to someone a couple of years older than her. It's hard on her, given how close it is to Christmas, but I guess its to be expected if you marry someone 20 years older! Anyway, they had over 50 years together, and apart from my grandmother dying, he had a trouble free life (he was spoilt rotten, we're not even sure that he ever had to make himself a cup of tea...)

I thought of lots of other things to say... but forgot, as I had so much to catch up on!

    Evening all.
I have had a very productive day - brilliant considering the state I was in last night, and I have cleaned my bedroom, and the living room and done one lot of ironing. That has aired so I am going to break off my catch up of the thread and go and put away and iron some more, because I had three machine loads on the line. We went to town (DD and I) and I have got the last of the presents - I 'gave up' yesterday - then of course I was ill so I quite see where my energy went and I was incapable of finishing off yesterday and had to go again. Also took a big bag of DDs outgrown clothes and and unwanted game to the charity shop so a very succesful fling ***pats own back*** Came home, wrapped gifts for DS (with a microscopic amount of help from DS) to take to GF for GFs parents and brother. DS clearly has his dad's gift wrapping gene unfortunately...and not a romantic bone in his body. Looks like a few years hard graft for me then teaching him what is, and more importantly, is not acceptable in the gifting dept.
Been to Morrisons. I need to go to Morris0ns in this state again as I was tempted by very little...consumed, by me, so far today
    1 cup of tea
    1 Latte (cafe Nero)
and I am still not hungry!

I think Pigpen might be right :D Send him to Oxfam, mine had Village Bakery Organic ones reduced at the weekend. Then again, I'm sure he can get one cheap pretty much anywhere by this stage of the year!

Hi All,Been MIA for the last 36 hours, full on head cold and mild vomiting (okay, so it was only once, but I hate hate hate being sick). However, I am now feeling tonnes better and back to my old, can't get out of bed in the mornings ways. Yay!:j .

It does however mean I'm way way behind on the Chrimbo last minute prep. We're hosting our traditional friend get together at our house this year, so I need to do loads of work (I have a mild case of house envy with one couple) on the living room/kitchen and bathroom, find a bag of tatty wedges (might hit Tescos at half seven, although if asda this morning ws anything to go by, time won't help. Was busy at work at 8am!!!) Okay, I started a time plan somewhere on this thing so I'll think I'll wander off to hunt it down, havent caught up since yesterday, sorry. Hugs loves and congratulations to all in need/deserves.
