Will join you all at 12 - just had a lovely cup of tea, then the postman came with my big envelope of flylady cards and a payslip for me! :)

Thank you to everyone who has sent me cards - I've now run out of shelf space completely (good job OH still hasn't filled them with his DVDs since we moved) and the living room and dining room are looking much more festive. We didn't bother with a tree etc cos we'll be at other people's for Christmas and Boxing Day. Also a big THANK YOU to lil_me and her sons for playing post offices so well.

my HHC was interupted so will join at in at 12

the interruption was from my bank advising me that I had gone overdrawn by £2 this morning and did I want to transfer money to avoid charges!! Never before have I had a phone call advising this obviously someone was doing their christmas good deed and very grateful i am to I had balanced the books and thought I had left the right money in my account.

Having a cup or two of coffee, having just tackled S'bury's for the Christmas food shop. Cost an absolute fortune, and didn't even include any drinks as the men of the house did that on Sunday! (Dad's a softer touch than Mum, so both DS's opted to go with him!!)

I now have to get on with my list... cleaning the cloakroom first I think. DS2 has a haircut booked for 1.30pm, so should have most of the afternoon free. The boys are out at some music thing at a local pub tonight, so I think that looks like an ideal wrapping up time. I'll do OH's while he's at work today, and DD's while she's in town, if she feels well enough to go out with BF for an hour or so.

G&B - you sound like you're having a hard time of it, so hugs, and I hope that you manage to sneak in some 'me' time there.

greenbee - I think I missed off saying to you that I was sorry to hear about your grandfather, and you are in my thoughts at the moment.

Also, hugs and get well wishes to all the poorly ones.

Safe journey to all those about to set off, and have a lovely Christmas!

  • Tuesday - Time's nearly up!!!
    1. Iron yesterdays wash mountain - still haven't started the wash mountain!
    2. Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs!
    3. Mop the kitchen floor!
[STRIKE]Declutter your desk.. if it is anything like mine it is full of receipts and invoices!
[/STRIKE]Have a skim through the TV guide and decide what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!!!
    1. Wash any soft furnishings in need of freshening up
    2. Tidy up coats and shoes and suchlike
    3. WRAP WRAP WRAP!
    4. Make a note of when the binmen are coming!!!
    5. [STRIKE]Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat![/STRIKE]
OH's parents have decided at the last minute that they're not coming to Xmas dinner so there's no point in making my own gravy since OH doesn't like it and my huge turkey will last us forever now. Really annoyed but don't want to make a fuss. It feels his family don't make any effort with me - yet my family invite him to stay, come to stay with us to meet up with his family, send Xmas cards and presents for his niece and nephew. It irritates me that his family aren't close - he STILL hasn't bought his mum a present -and I'm not sorting it out. Rant over -I needed that.

Leaving binmen vacuuming and mopping to OH since I do everything else and then some. I am sitting with my feet up watching a dvd this afternoon.
