GnB are you driving all the way or OH? How annoying. They just don't get it!
Good job toots isn't father christmas or none of them would get anything!
AnW it has been collected but only because i've reported it every time. We had to wait almost a year for the wheelie bin in the first place. I am going to contact local councillors, thanks toots. what i don't understand is that the recycling gets picked up every time and it's the same contractor. Different workers I guess. If it wasn't so much effort i'd drag the bin down there! We pay over a grand a year in council tax and it really is the only service we use...very annoying. The still haven't phoned back so I'm going to report it online now.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Loss adjustor been...
We are having a new unit, worksurface, blinds, cooker, decorating and the £70 food allowance until the cooker gets here. So.. today will be spent loking for quotes etc.
I had linen blinds in the kitchen and they were really expensive and I dread to think how much new ones will be.. I am getting vertical blinds for them I think and that might also stop me mounting up the wwindow sills with junk now they are clear.
They said they will give me the money for a new cooker so I can purchase one.. I am REALLY nervous about using one the same even though it was a fabulous cooker.. my new cooker phobia is winning today.
The gloss finish worksurface is now the same price as the matt one so I am having that with the matching upstand (I'll pay for that with the food allowance)
They said they SHOULD get the money through before tomorrow so I can go shopping for a new cooker.. on christmas eve.. it won't be here for christmas BUT It will be here before new year..
Hubby has gone to buy my tesco stuff... based on what comes on that I will be able to decide what I need to buy tonight when I take my mother shopping.
The fire education team are coming in today to reassure the littlies.. Tiddles is waking 3-4 times a NIGHT because she is frightened and I am hoping it will just make her a little more settled. Poor little mite was quaking like a leaf and sobbing hysterically.
Oh.. and I need to dispose of a large range cooker... ideas anyone?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Can you just refuse to drive or is it too much hassle?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Council phoned back, woman told me i reported it at 6pm last night. Errr, no, I think I'd remember! I reported it this morning. So allegedly they are coming today to collect it. I'll believe it when i see it, but they're all there tomorrow too apparently. I told her if its not collected by tonight I will bring it down to their office tomorrow. I have also emailed my local councillor who has responsibility for environment etc.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
