Auction won, but buyer now not interested...

Just to let you know, I've agreed to cancel the transaction....this was done yesterday evening. I had hoped that they would get back quickly, enabling me to relist the guitar on a short auction in time for Christmas (yes, I know, but might just have squeezed in....!). The earlier post guessed correctly - I had hoped to catch the pre-Christmas market...
So far I have heard nothing back from the buyer to confirm the cancellation...very annoying, but their loss if they don't respond. The guitar will easily sell after Christmas, maybe not for as much as this time around, but will still sell.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Yeah I think they were a powerseller so probably had more options than you do selling your jumble sale tatTO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0

Had this problem myself, thankfully a second chance offer has been taken up with someone.
Person who bought the item ignored all my e-mails, i want to cancel the transaction but i've reported them to ebay so i can leave negative feedback.
Looks like they bought a similar item in better nick and ignored mine, wouldn't give a hoot normally but they paid £105!0 -

You can't cancel the 1st transaction at all, all you can do is get your FVfs back by doing a full NPB (not a mutual). You also, unfortunately, can't leave a negative as sellers lost that ability earlier this year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Why give the buyer another positive rating just to increase their overall feedback? Once that comment disappears from the first page it is just another positive.
Also, it is against ebay rules and is considered feedback abuse so the buyer can request it be removed and you will get a seller perfomance warning.
So don't do it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ok, I just slapped my wrists for even thinking that there should be some form of 'negative' response available to sellers :rolleyes:0

The strike is much more effective, most sellers I would think have the seller preferences set to exclude bidders with 2 or more strikes...so if your buyer has a habit of this he will soon be unable to bid on anything.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
