Auction won, but buyer now not interested...

...wonder if you guys can help?
Our buyer decided shortly after winning our item - a Fender guitar - that he was no longer interested. Or rather, he says his son had placed a bid but that he had now bought it elsewhere for him for Christmas.
Anyway, just wondered what we can do about this - eBay won't allow us to report a non-paying bidder until 7 days have elapsed. We've given a second chance offer to the next bidder down, but haven't heard anything yet.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Wait 7 days then put in a full NPB and give the buyer a strike and reclaim your FVFs. Well, you wait 7 days and file a non-paying bidder report, not much else you can do. You'll need to give the second chance offer a chance to accept or refuse (or simply wait for the time limit to run out) and then you relist. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

yep, just as soolin said but also, dont forget to block them to stop them from doing this to you again0

Oh yes, definitely block them. I can't abide these buyers with their pathetic little excuses about how their child , dead aunt or cat bid...just proves they are dim enough to have no PC security.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have a similar situation, bidder won last Sunday, only has 10 feedback, but been a member for 2 years and looks like all items bought (no selling) were 'peculiar' to my sale item, fairly specialised, so surprised they haven't paid or contacted!
Ah well they will have an NPB strike tonight and that will be a new experience for me, one I'm sure I'll learn from.0 -

They won't get the strike tonight though, you can't close the dispute until a further 8 days, but at least you will be on your way.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks guys. Thought that was probably the best way forward.
Don't know about you, but we've had nothing but trouble with eBay over the past 9 months or so...it's sort of put us off, really.
Cheers

Just double-checking, can I relist whilst I'm waiting to file the NPB report? He's obviously not got any intention of paying for it....
Thanks again
