I'm on O2 PAYG, one £10.00 top up can last me several months.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional

Best low user tariff is probaly Asda. http://www.asda-mobile.com/?node_id=1.2
Bill, how does the above deal compare to O2, I don't know what I pay per min / text on O2, I just use it.

Asda is far cheaper - O2 is 25p a minute xnet and 10p a text - Asda is excellent since it piggybacks on the Vodafone network.

Try a different network sim in the handset if it works it's unlocked. Chances are if it is an O2 pay as you go handset that it will be locked.

  • Asda mobile is the best, 8p per min any network and 8p per text.

thanks for the responses - this sim is going into my car tracker device so will be texting me but not necessarily calling me or anyone else - will probably need to take it out to do the above.

If it's a Nokia and not one of the newer handsets, you may be able to find the code online to unlock it for free.
