I was with Tesco before I went to UKOnline, but only for their dialup service. We had had a couple of years with no problems at all, but the last 6 months or so even allowing that it was only dialup, the speed was terrible. Pages were taking up to three minutes to load in the evenings. We very nearly on several occasions were going to change to Tesco Broadband, especially when they had offers on such as extra points, or three months half price. But with the thought that the service in general might me going downhill, and the comparision of 512k to 2mb speed, plus Tesco being three pounds dearer for a lesser speed, ukonline won. It is possible that their Broadband service is a good one, but when trying to save pennies, and getting a far better speed, UK Online won.

Tesco's BB packages are probably the worst on offer anywhere - why they call it Value is beyond comprehension.

Tesco is what is known as a Virtual ISP. Just as with its financial services it is done through a third party and Tesco rakes in a percentage of the cost to you.

i am with tesco joined after2-3 months they started no problems

£17.97 for 512mb
their security package didn't agree with my PC so i cancelled

i am tempted to join TT just cos of saving going to read Martin's article and then decide!
