I am currently on Tesco dial up. I am interested in this value broadband for £13.49 per month, but I am not sure about the terms and conditions. I believe I only have one email address at the moment so that would not concern me, but I am not sure about webspace whatever that means and the other t and c's.
Any enlightenement would be appreciated.

1GB monthly usage limit, means it will only be OK for viewing web pages and email, no good for listening to radio or watch video clips, as you'd soon use up your usage limit.
Doesn't look like they offer an email address, nor any web-space. (Web-space is where you can host your own website, put pictures on etc).
If you wanted to go with Tesco, I think the next one up for £1 more would be the wiser choice. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
After many months of "watching & reading" today we decided to sign up with ukonline for their broadband service. Currently there is a special offer on until the 7th Feb of free connection. It is a 2mb service with unlimited usage for 14.99p. We are currently on dial up with Tesco, and have up until recently been happy with the service. In the last 6 months or so their service has deterioriated, in particular their customer service, both online by e-mail, and by phone. They also will not let any e-mail through from Yahoogroups, and I have constantly contacted them over this and they will not respond properly. For the difference between Tesco's limited usage price and ukonline it is worth trying ukonline. It is sad in a way that it came to this, as I would have like to have stayed with Tesco, but with their service so impersonal and poor it was time to say goodbye. (cue for a song!)0

I was with Tesco. It took them 3 months to terminate my contract, they kept charging me for those 3 months and then deleted all my email an contacts.....who do I compain to?0

I've just signed up in the last few minutes for the TESCO VALUE BROADBAND of £13.97 per month. I know it only gives you one email address and limited downloading but this will be fine. Just wanted something to speed up my very slow dial up which took 1hr 30 mins to put an 'ad' on ebay so I'm not after anything spectacular. Does anyone know if there is a set up cost. I didn't notice a price, although there was a free modem offer which I've sent off for. Any up-to-date info would be apprechiated. I've already signed up, and I'm worried I've made a mistake!!! 0 -
Just to follow up on my previous post about ukonline. We have had no problems at all with them, and for the 2mb speed, unlimited downloads for £14.99p a month I think it is excellent value.0

NTL are doing an offer for 1meg brodband for £8.99 per month for the first three months with unlimited downloads.

If you follow the link, you will find that the three month offer is half price. So it isn't a very good deal at £17.99p at the full price. If you want the 2mb service, (the same as my 14.99) it costs £24.99p. Not very good when this is a money saving forum

I keep checking back with Tesco to see if this large and extremely profitable supermarket might actually offer a better deal on their broadband.
In actual fact - what is on offer seems quite wimpish - considering other ISPs are offering more for less.
The one thing I have noticed about Tesco broadband - is the lack of complaints about it. So maybe they're not too bad?
Are there any Tesco broadband customers here who could give an opinion on what they are like?
Are you getting what you are paying for in terms of speed? What is customer service like?0 -
I have been with Tesco bb since inception, have never had any problems apart from a minor glitch at the start with so many people signing up initially.
Never had to use CS as never had any problems, still on the 512 at £17.99 unlimited which is more than adequate for my needs.
