I bought an M&S dress to wear for xmas. I got it on ebay though and paid less than £8.:D0

Have M&S undies on (bought yesterday) and Per Una Jeans and jumper on. M&S shouldn't be going anywhere. Next I find is a peculiar fit - only their age 16 stuff fits me; their size 10 stuff is nowhere near a size 10 - unless you have a very bizarre shape!!!!!0

LOL, I have a M and S Cashmere sweater on at the moment, got it on the 20% off day0

Has Courts gone under. Ive never been in one of their furniture shops, but the one in the city here has a permanent sale on for at least the last 10 years.
Do we reckon DFS will go under?0 -
I do hope M&S don't go down , there is a Food Factory not far from where i live.
and around 80% of what they make is for M&S. ( plus the factory sells discounted products to the local pensioners ) a major employer around here.
also a mile further on is a Jacobs buscuit factory , i can hear it now " let them eat [strike]cake[/strike] crackers "
welcoming in this new year , 2009 somehow will not have the same feel to it ?

My O H had problems with NEXT jeans the waist band was lowered so all fittings changed and all needed to be altered for some reason. They use a woman to do this and you can't tell except when one leg is slightly longer than the other. Never mind I don't have such hassle as Primark jeans at 6 quid I think do the job well enough for me.:TI came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 -

I like quite a lot of M & S stuff, because it fits me well - my waist is narrow in proportion to my hips (I prefer to think of it that way round, rather than having hips too big for my waist) and the clothes are made that way....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
M&S is a good fit all over whereas 'Next' seems to make clothes for non human individuals with enormous waists which do not require you to undo the buttons/zips/fastenings in order to take on or off, yet strangely the thighs on trousers are somewhat snug and wrinkle accordingly. Next's childrenswear however (in age 15-16 years, is a good alternative to size 8-10 'normal people' and does fit perfectly around the waist and thighs) and also accomodates my 34" inside leg (which the adult clothing does not!0
