A&L PPI loan Insurance

Options
Good morning.

I am usually on the DFW boards, but thought I amy get a better/quicker response here for this question. A few weeks ago, following A&Ls big fine, I wrote to them with regards to my loan insurance (as it was taken out between jan 05 and dec 07). 56 days is up on Christmas eve.

Question is, has anyone else recieved a response from them, or had a letter from them (as they said they would write to all those affcted)

Thanks in advance

    Hi there Oscar

Not long now then for the final response then ?

As it will be Christmas Eve when the decision is due, why don't you just give them a quick call to see if they have actually dealt with it, you know what the post can be like as well at this time of year?;)

Hope you get some luck with these considering they were fined for mis selling the PPI, so good luck here hunni.;) :A

You could also try checking this out on both the Success and PPI reclaiming thread, you will see these threads, after you click on loans at the top part of the page.

Fingers crossed to you and please let us know how you get on cheers.;)

That is just typical isn't it ?
And if this does not arrive by christmas eve then I would prepare a complaint form for the FOS, I take it you know you can download the forms from the FOS website or ring them for them to send you one through the post.

I did not hear from one of mine at all - waited over the 8 weeks and know they received my letter, so just continued with the FOS anyway, and then sent a copy of the complaint form to the loan company, sometimes this makes them think again.;)

Good luck hun and I wish you luck here, but keep at them.

I had a letter off them today:j

But no big fat cheque:mad:

Just a letter saying "we are not in a position to provide you with an outcome" (maybe they should doouble think that decision to make so many redundant) - and a nice colouful FOS leaflet.

BUT - Im feeling festive, and as its the season of goodwill, I shall give them an extra 10 days to respond to me. (besides, I dont really want my FOS documents to get lost with the crimbo post:D )

    Hi there Oscar.
With mine it had taken 3 letter regarding LLoyds TSB and exhausted this in order then to move on to the FOS.

However, I wish you luck here, good luck.;)

  • I'm affected by this, I didn't get a letter about it. Found out about it through Martin's vids. I rang and asked for a refund/complained. The caller took my details and told me a full investigation would take place.

So far I've had about 4/5 letter's saying sorry it's taking so long but their still investigating it.....and I'm still waiting.
