More to the point = students spending £300 on a christmas present.
This is the reason I hate Christmas so much.
What happened to the good old days of a small gift or am I so behind the times that £300 is a normal amount to pay?

Do you not think it is up to individuals as to how much to spend on Christmas presents?

Of course it is, just as it is up to me to comment that £300 is a ridiculous amount to spend on a student boyfried.

How do you know how much dosh I have?
I imagine I have more "dosh" than aforementioned student if they spend £300 on a boyfriends pressie. Now the boyfriend HAS to spend £300 on her or it will be sulks all rouund.
Plus the words Student & Lots Of Cash dont really go together.

FYI I have quite a lot of dosh as I spend it wisely, not all people on moneysavingexpert are skint.

Why the hell do people have to be so negative and i must say quite insulting when all i did was post on here for some advice. Not that i need to explain myself but i chose to spend that amount of money on my boyfriend because i think he deserves it. I happen to be in a position where i can afford to spend that amount of money because as well as being a student i work 30 hours a week!!!
I understand that you are entitled to a point of view and or opinion but please don't insult me but implying that i would sulk if he doesn't spend the same on me, you know nothing about our situation x

I've got no idea (and very little interest) as to your wealth. But I do find it a touch pathetic and really not in keeping with the season of goodwill to be moaning on about how much students spend.

It is up to them. Not you.
