Hi guys,
I recently ordered a net book costing over 300 pounds for my boyfriends christmas present from dixons.co.uk. As we are both students he was due to go home for christmas so i checked delivery to make sure it would arrive etc. After the alloted delivery times given on the website had been and gone i emailed dixons but got no response. My boyfriend then went to visit his family without a present to open from me on christmas day. Then yesterday a woman who lives up my street came round with my order saying it had been delivered to her house three days ago!!! No delivery note was left at my house and i don't actually know the neighbours so it could of been delivered to anyone.
I rang to complain today but although the lady on the phone was apologetic i recieved no explanation or resolution and now i feel really dispointed and a little angry.
My question is should i take this further and as anyone had any problems with dixons before?
Thanks x

Sounds like it was the error of whatever courier company they use. How else do you want to take it further?
You could ask for a refund of your delivery charge which they don't have to do. There's not a lot more than that you can do.0 -
hmmm, yeah i guess your right i'm just really dispointed thats all x0

It's the couriers fault not dixons personally - yes maybe they should use a better company but tbh they're mostly like that these days.0

why couldn't your neighbour have brought it to you the day it was delivered? If I take a parcel in for someone I pop round with it as soon as I notice they are home.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

Yes - demand compensation from the neighbours, it's your right.0

Until they come back and demand compensation for storage fees.0 -
It didn't come from HDN, did it? They always leave parcels in a garage at a house 2 streets away from us, with no note. No note to us (because they think they're delivering to the right address), and no note to tell them it's in their garage! I went round one time, after a number of parcels were missing, to find FOUR items of ours in their garage.
They blame sat nav. Obviously, the drivers can't read street signs.0 -

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
More to the point = students spending £300 on a christmas present.
This is the reason I hate Christmas so much.
What happened to the good old days of a small gift or am I so behind the times that £300 is a normal amount to pay?0 -
I too ordered a netbook from Dixons months ago and between them and DHL they managed to well and truly screw things up...
Don't bother to complain, I did a few times to both and neither got back to me.... both a waste of space and the sooner they go bust the better.0
