This will put the Port ahead of its competitors and in a very strong place when the country comes out of recession.
Have you and Agnet Orange got shares in the place or summat?
And what about the new docks in London and Manchester, forgotten abotut them ?
And waht we all want to know (me and Mewbs anyway) is why have you dumped the Aygo or d'ya know something the other dockers don't hmmm??:eek:0 -
Is Felixstowe owned by Asian interests?
The Arabs are peddling very slowly at the London/Thames gateway development.
What is happening in Manchester - I thought the dock land was all "leisure and shopping"
these days? How do we get an average sized ship up there these days?0 -

Work stopped on the new Docks in London several months ago as DPworld were taking stock of their current position and trying to raise further investment funds.
Whenever they restart they will be at least 18 months behind FSR which is extremly good news for Felixstowe. In that time our commercial team should have tied up several of the Major shipping lines to long term deals. This would mean that London would only be able to go for the small fry.
As long as the work force keep performing to their high standards and excellant MPH it would make it very hard for the big players to leave and take a chance on the new Ports that will no doubt undergo teething problems.
I was advised by a second hand car dealer to wait until Sept 1st before taking possesion of my new car.0 -

Harry, Felixstowe is owned by Hutchinsons (Asian interests) and at the moment they are still very keen to invest in further development at Felixstowe.0 -
