Read on the Movietrak website today that they are planning to merge with Qflicks over the coming weeks.

Therefore, if you want to take advantage of the free trial rentals whilst they remain separate companies, its best to sign up pretty quickly.

For a 30 day Movietrak.co.uk trial, try the promo code mtk3rles.
For a 21 day qflicks.co.uk trial, try the promo code AL02B4U.

    Hope that helps

    BEWARE of MOVIETRAK

I just joined a movietrak free trial today, and was highly shocked that they have charged me £13.95 despite me entering the free 30 day trial code, which was accepted.

    You have been warned.

    Hi Chipz,

I sorry to hear about your bad experience you seem to have had with Movietrak.

The 'welcome' email that they send you on signing up clearly states that 'your card has not been charged yet' and 'your card will be debited £13.95 at the end of the free trial period'.

Slightly worried by your post I checked 'my account' on the Movietrak website and it shows I purchased on July 5th a 2 disc subscription at the price of £13.95.

However. checking my MBNA credit card online, no monies have been debited by Movietrak from my account. Have you actually checked they have debited your account Chipz or have you assumed they have taken it from the 'your account' details?

If they have taken the money prematurely, then you must email customer services to redress the situation as you are entitled to you free trial period before any withdrawal of money from your credit card.

Hope you get your full free trial.

    Thanks for the replies.

Yes checked my bank account and £13.95 is in processing for deduction. I have tried emailing them many times, but no replies. I did not even get a welcome email from them. Anyone know of a contact tele number for them? HELP!

I think i rather cancel my trial with them and just stick it out with screen select.

Just signed up at globalerental and you can have 3 dvds at one time on the free trial and not 5 as previously mentioned, so this has changed!

The choice isn't that good but it gave me a chance to pick out a bunch of old dvds I never got round to seeing!

They move fast too, by the time I had finished picking my wishlist they had already picked out 3 for dispatch and they wern't the first 3 I picked either so not an automatic thing. And thats at 1am in the morning!

opened a free trial with globalerental.co.uk
good thing is they allocate straight away online dvds available for posting (block buster do the same). Unlike screenselect which does it dvd allocations eadch day at around 1-3pm.

onky thing is i found selection is not too good with global.

Just a note to say that I have been very pleased with Global E Rental. Luckily I managed to secure the 5 disc DVD trial before they reduced the maximum to 3 discs.

They have been very good at sending titles at the top of my rental queue. Over the 30 day trial period, I managed to average over one disc a day.

Anyone out there with 21 day or 30 day codes for rental firms other than Lovefilm, Blockbuster, Q-Flicks, Movietrak or DVD365. TIA.
  • Has anybody else NOT received their free Oceans Eleven DVD thru Movie Choices. I signed up for the offer on July 8th but have not received the free DVD yet
