Hi All
Sorry its been so long just been having a really carpy time money wise, stuff added on to credit cards, borrowed from Mum to buy a new car, all in all nothing to be too proud about on here.
Started at Waitrose, it opens next week so just been training at the moment. 9 hours a week and currently only temp until February but hopefully they will keep me on fingers crossed everyone.
Will come back properly when life settles down a bit and I can do a proper list of what I owe again.

Hello All!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas, ours was a bit mental and to be honest didn't enjoy it. Looking forward to everything going back to normal.
I have finally removed my head from the sand and have been thinking about money and stuff once again. I think 2014 could go either way for us financially a lot depends on if I get kept on at Waitrose and also if the A&L lend us the extra money on the mortgage in Feb as the plan is to borrow a little to pay off both our debts to repair our credit rating so that we can try and move to a 3 bed house next year. But if they don't lend us it and Waitrose don't keep me on then it could all be pretty horrific :(especially around April when HMRC finish paying us any tax credits, they have been over paying us all year as their systems wouldnt let stop it completely as it would "leave us in hardship" so probably we are going to owe them about £7000 but in truth I am not worrying about that at the minute as I know from looking on here they will accept a payment plan.
Today I popped to the Sales and got pretty much all of the Birthday, Mothers Day and Fathers Day presents for the year, mainly from Boots but also a few bits from The Works. Will wrap them later and then they are done. I have done this for a few years now and it does save money and also saves on lots of stress as everything is there ready to go.
I have added up what I owe now and to who, really, really annoyed as I had got it down so low but I know I can do it again.
So here is what it was middle of this year:Santander £473
Tesco £672
Next £70
Moorgate £900
TOTAL £2115
And here is what it is now:Tesco £2,313
Isme £287
Next £441
Moorgate £800
Santander £300
Mum for Car £3000
Total = £7141:(

Hello stranger, hope everyone ok, have missed you. Sorry Christmas wasn't very good, sometimes its a lot of pressure for a couple of days... We didn't have a brilliant one either, we all poorly at different times and few family probs (not our side) but would have been nice if it didn't happen.
Fingers crossed with Waitrose, hope it goes ok.
I know your debts have gone up, but this is how I see it.
Tesco £2,313 - Knowing you it won't be pleasure or silly spending it will be essentials and getting by.
Isme £287 - Catalogue - guessing clothes, essentials, 2 loys of kids clothes
Next £441 - ditto
Moorgate £800 - positive is you have reduced it by £100 going the right way and regular payments all help.
Santander £300 - Thats a smaller one so could be sorted easier - surveys, reviews etc.
Mum for Car £3000 - I guess that was a must have not an I want... at least being mum I'm guessing its interest free.
As for tax credits, - they can't leave you in financial hardship, so they have to accept a repayment plan.
heres to the New Year.
Sounds like you have got some brilliant bargains with the sales, I normally wait for 75% boots sale, but after going into our Boots, the shelves were half empty, so used vouchers, few points and filled 3 bags...
Got 3 presents from The Works for dads brothers great grandchildren - there between 1 and 5, got Disney story book youngest, and the other 2 a box of sticker and art set - £6 for the three items.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Yes car money from Mum is interest free and in truth she is not in any hurry for it but it weighs on my mind.
Next is indeed clothes for the sproggys and Isme was theirs and Mr Pips Christmas presents.
Tesco is mainly essentials, a couple of naughty bits on there but big chunk was car insurance as the cheapest company wouldnt let us pay monthly, they were a lot cheaper so we did it that way. There was also a £500 money transfer into my account to stop being charged £25 a transaction for being overdrawn.
From the Works I got some DVD/Book sets for £2.99 loads of different titles so got a few people covered with them. Boots was the usual smellie sets, got 2 free using points.
Yes I was poorly on the run up to Christmas, hospital job and everything so that put a crimp in it! Hoping you are all feeling better now x xDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Just stripped the last of the turkey crown, chucked some into slow cooker to make a curry for tea tonight, bagged up rest into little portions to put into pasta or risooto for other meals. Will have to venture to the supermarket today as we are out of milk and a couple of other bits but going to make a list and ONLY buy those bits, unless there is anything reduced to clear.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

 Happy New Year!
Wishing us all a fantastic 2014 full of fun, laughter, debt busting, saving money, couponing & bargains!
We stayed in until around 10.30pm and then we woke the children up to go to my Uncle and Aunties house to see in the New Year, very MSE as we just took what we were drinking and I drove so no :eek: taxi fare!
Before we went to bed I switched on the slow cooker which I had filled earlier with the ingredients for french toast, when we woke up this morning we had yummy breakfast already doneGoing to spend the day at home just relaxing with some DVDs. Might do a bit of meal planning too as I want to try and only buy fresh stuff from the shops this week and use up some of the stock pile.
Have a good day everyone x xDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
