No Money Mummy to Millionaire Mummy!!

Thanks Mum2one x The free hours thing is a bit odd, I guess I have hope though that he will get it eventually!
I was really poorly last night, not sure if it was heat or a bug. Feel better today, though still really tired.
Started to do my food shop online as I though it would save me time and money as I could delete things if my bill was too high. It was driving me mad!! So now I have scrapped it and will go to the shops in the flesh tomorrow.
Friends came round last week and we ordered 50% off pizzas and split the remaining. I saved the little pots of dip you get free and just used them as a salad dressing for lunch tomorrow, bargain!
Feeling a bit of a rubbishy friend as I was due to drive to kent to meet some friends. Added up the miles and it was going to cost me £60 in petrol  explained to them and they seem cool but feel a bit sad I am not going to see them. It was going to be too much though especially as we had already arranged to go and stay with other friends in Newcastle at Bank hol weekend. Why don't my friends live closer!!!

Hope your feeling better, I think it was the weather, had Miss Hoodie in bed with me, she was a fidget, like an oven got the windows open but it was really stuffy. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
-
Still really stuffy here despite it having rained a few times. Hope you had a lovely break Mum2one x
I've spent the last few evenings trawling through the Old Style threads and got some really good ideas. I am now going through the preparing for Winter thread, its funny because I remember going through the same thread but in 2008 when heavily pregnantwith Pip! Think I am going to get OH to put up a curtain pole between kitchen and living room as draft whistles though from air vents and back door. We had the dreaded letter saying our gas was going up by 25% so we will I will need to stock up on Jumpers I think!
A friend suggested we get Pip a snowsuit for when we go to Disney, he can wear it on cold snowy days here too of course, and after hours of searching Ive found a nice one for £17 on Amazon of all places. Waterproof and fleece lined so he will be snug as a bug!
Got a good deal in Home Bargains the other day, an In the night garden "My First Ready Bed" for £10.99, they are normally £30-£35+. Pip is staying at my Mums in a couple of weeks so it will be perfect, also be handy if he is poorly as we can then pop him at the bottom of our bed for easy access!
Bit more browsing and then Im off to bed, night x x

Eeeeeeuuuuuuugh! Ive had a totally mind boggling few days.
My friend is moving out of my flat so I will now have to find an extra £400 a month. Going to put it up for sale as it has bought me nothing but misery and hassle as those that have read this diary from the beginning will know. Trouble is I will need to get £90,000 minimum for it as I need to pay half back to housing assoc and my mortgage remains at £42,000 and I am factoring in £2000-£3000 for solicitiors fees.
One of the bosses spoke to me today and has asked me not to leave, he has got a job he wants me to do but it involves the nights shift, still in Leicester. Going to see if he would consider letting me do it as days only, if he will I might do it as it appears I also need to do a 3 month trial (even though I am working out of new site anyway!!!) Best scenario is that other boss needs me until December, then do the 3 month trial which means I have money until Feb/March. Hopefully flat would be sold by then and Pip will get free Nursery in April.
If it works like that fab but lets face it, its unlikely!!!

hi, hope you get to work days to spin out your time there a bit longer until you've time to sell your flat and get things as you want them to be.
We had an estate agent around tonight about our flat, he thinks it should sell but it won't be overnight. we wouldn't be getting £90k for our though, our market prices must be lower than yours.0 -
Hey Pippi and LT
Made a mistake with my sums and I dont need to payback to HA as I pay them rent. This means I need to sell it for £45,000 minimum. Got 5 Estate Agents coming on Thursday to value and have contacted HA as they apparently might also want to send a valuer, and may want me to keep it exclusive to them for x amount of weeks too  Going to ring Halifax tomorrow to see if they will let me switch to interest only until I sell it.

you may be feeling stressed but you're sounding under control. I've always wondered how the whole shared ownership things worked. always sounded complicated. At least you're more likely to get in excess of £42k than £90k0
-
LT - My biggest and only regret in life is this flipping shared ownership flat! Its caused me nothing but grief and stress. Be glad when its gone.
One of the Estate Agents I spoke with had sold a flat in same block a few months ago. It went for £51,000 but Mortgage company downvalued it, told him I needed £45,000 min and he said you will definately get that.
Rang Halifax and they said ring back nearer time, couldnt see it being a problem switching to interest only until it sold and that would reduce my payments by £60 a month:j.

I just found the Regatta outlet and managed to get OH a 3in1 fleece and coat half price for £30 Also got myself and him a pair of walking shoes, breathable, warm, dry and good tread, £20 each pair. Be good for Winter in general and also for walking round Disney in December. Got 2 fleeces for £4.50 each as Christmas pressies for my Dad and my Uncle :money:
Yesterday I placed an order with Baker Ross yesterday, spent £40 but got:- 8 Ceramic Coasters
- 6 Ceramic Heart Trinket boxes
- 4 packs multicoloured elastics
- 2 bags of Beads
- 1 Foam Penguin Decoration kit containing 8 penguins
- 2 Owl Cushion kits
- 2 Russian Doll Cushion Kits
- 1 Pack of 5 Pearlised ceramic pens
Going to get Pip to decorate the ceramics.
I think this will cover all of the Ladies presents as I can give them a Trinket Box and a Bracelet, and a couple of them will get a cushion too.
The gents will all get Coasters and I am thinking a retro sweets jar.
Still PETRIFIED as September will be the last month that my Mortgage is paid and after that I will have to find the money. Feeling Happy that all my other prep is going well though and I am doing it as affordably as poss.
Hope you are all having good weekend,
