LT I have to get as much done as possible while I have the New year energy spurring me on, later in the year I carsh and burn and it all goes to pot!!
Ive just been looking on Argos Mum2one as I need a ....wait for it.......Christmas tree! Ours has loads of lower branches missing as the cold in the loft has perished the plastic. They are turned to the wall so don't really show so if I cant find one in sales its no biggy.
Well I have done very little today, OH has a hangover so have been keeping a low profile. In Mr Ms yesterday I got a brussel sprout tree for 20p so Pip and I took them all off and prepped them today, had some for tea and then will use rest for bubble and squeak tomorrow. Going to do my January meal plan in a mo so will post later.
Oh I had to share this funny story with you. Went to my uncle and aunties house last night to see in the new year. Bong, Bong Bong goes Big Ben and we look round to see Pip straining like a good 'un. He certainly had a New Year clear out! Honestly, the timing of that child!!
Hope you are all having a good New Years day x xDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

lol to Pip's way of seeing in the new year. I try and get christmas sorted cos i can't bear going round the shops when everyone else is christmas shopping.
today's not been too bad, never seems to be much more than another day really as we don't go out celebrating as we don't drink and stuff. I did make a nice roast, if i say so myself. OH has to work this morning so i felt he deserved it.0 -

glad i'm not the only one, i've never gotten the whole New Years hype, and always wonder why people actually pay to go to pubs (entrance fees) and then get the overpriced drinks on top.0

I always stay up to see the New Year in, not normally with as much longing as I did this year!! My Mum got some Chinese lanterns free at bingo so we sent those up with our hopes and wishes on, also in memory of my Grandad. They all looked beautiful. I go to friends or family partys but no way would I pay as much as a tenner to get into a crowded pub where I would then have to queue to pay for a beer! Maybe I am getting old!!!
Just found the sneaky ways to save the pennies thread so have been reading that, havent done menu plan ooooopsie!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Totally agree with you, and the inflated taxi prices, that if you can get one without booking 6 mths in advance. You hear people saying I spent £100 don't where it went!!
Since I was 18,I've always want to go to Scotland for New Yr, get there eventually.
Dad always says when he did National Service, the english were allowed xmas off, and the Scots New Year. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
very impressed with the whole month's food list and will be interested to see how the Jamie recipes work out for you.0

Been trying to get bits for Pips 2nd Birthday party. I have got to have 2 little parties as our house is just not big enough to fit everyone in in one go but of course that means 2 lots of everything including cakes! I am going to make both, ordered a cake topper for one so fingers crossed it arrives in time and for the 2nd one I am hiring a "2" tin and am aiming to decorate it with mickey mouse head shapes. Wish me luck, will post pics if they turn out ok!!
