Just cooked Jamies Sausage cassoulet (oooooh that sounds a bit rude!) and it was nice and REALLY filling. It took me bang on the money half hour, I didnt make the pudding he suggests to do at the same time but I did make OHs sarnies for morning and also washed up as I went along. Now only have 1 pan, 2 spoons and 2 dishes to wash! :j

Do you know what stressed I bet its actually really healthy especially if you used low fat sausages.
So class for todays lesson you will need:
4 rashers smoked bacon
2 red onions (he says 1 and half but whats the point in that???)
Rosemary and sage
2 leeks
400g sausages
3-4 slices bread
2 cloves garlic
1 tin mixed beans (Jamie lists the beans seperate and adds Passata but I MSEd it up a bit!!)
1 tin baked beans
Now again he says use a roasting tin on the hob but I cant so i just did it in an all metal frying pan and his description is HUUUUUUUUUGE so i've shortened it a bit!!
Chop the rashers of bacon into 1cm bits, peel and chunk the onions, trim and wash leeks then slice, add rosemary and sage, put on hob with a little boiling water and leave it all to soften.
Grill the sausages at the same time
Put the bread in a whizzer with the garlic and some olive oil until you have breadcrumbs.
Add the beans to the veggies in the pan and let them warm up
Put your sausages into the veggie/bean mix and sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top and pop it all under the grill until the breadcrumbs crisp up.
I served it with a bit of broccoli, he tarts his brocoli up with a dressing but I just did plain.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Looks good will probably do it for me and DD1, don't imagine the others would eat it. So will need to lose the bacon and use quorn sausages. Will also have to be carefully which beans I use as she can't wat kidney beans, which does Jamie use? I have loads of breadcrumbs in the freezer so can use. Willhave to check but think I will only need to count the breadcrumbs as everything else is free - will use spraylight instead of olive oil.
Thanks for this

From a Slimming World point of view, you can still use the bacon, so long as you just cut off all visible fat. That would still be free on Red Days / Extra Easy.
(Although just thought, maye you are looking at it from a vegetarian point of view, in which case, probably best to lose the bacon after all!!)Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Stressed Jamie uses Haricot (baked beans to us normal folk!) and butter beans. There is definately kidney beans in the mixed beans I use so you are better off buying them seperately. Not sure how quorn sausages would be grilling? I dont use quorn very often. Are you veggie?
Monkey - We are trying to get her to eat meat and she might be veggie, how mean are we!!!
Mummy - Ha ha ha I can be your food tester, can I have an official uniform please? LOL!
