Monkeynut - i am lucky as I was barely svelte before I had Pip so thats why the dress still fitted! In the bag I found some drinks vouchers from Christmas party 2007 and that must be the last time I wore the dress, it was almost an antique!!!
Well I had 2 glasses of wine, 7 vodka and cokes and 2 bottles of wkd blue and paid.....................£0!! My friend had to leave early as her hubby was working so she gave me her drinks vouchers. I pinched a huge balloon home for Pip and tied his 'Christmas Spy' bear to it so it looked like he had bought him it.
Going to visit my friend in hospital this afternoon and tell her all the tales of the party then going to put my tree up tonight whilst watching X Factor, got a Mr T takeaway for 2 for tea that OH got reduced to £2.40!!!

Free booze is never to be turned down is it Pinky!
I am a bit annoyed today as I was due to recive my bonus for the 6 month secondment I have been doing, it didnt go through. Depending on how much it is I was going to use some to finish off my Christmas presents, some to throw at debts and possibly even get my poor taxed and insured but broken down car going again. They have assured me it will be in next months pay but thats not really much help to me know is it????? We were supposed to be driving to Newcastle to visit my best friend at the weekend but I am not sure I can afford the petrol now I have to try and finish Christmas on my wages.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Pippi! I promise to do the same on yours, it moves too quick for a simple girl like me!! Considering a trip North of the border into your country for my 30th birthday. Would like to go to Edinburgh as I have *gasp* never been to Scotland. Cheapish flights with flybe, £142 for 2 of us, flights themselves actually only £4.02!!! Does that sound reasonable?Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

I am now under £12,000!! Whoop whoop!!
Paid just over minimums so now at £11,879 :j:j:j:j
Really, really will get back into being more MSE in the new year, it annoys me as every year I write at the front of my diary what my aims for the year are and every flipping year I write pay off CCs. I get so frustrated as we could live so comfortaby if we didnt have so much to pay off debt each month.
I wont be getting my bonus until next year now, so will need to make sure I set some wages aside to get my Birthday presents for the year in the sale. Ive done that for the last few years and I really like how much I save and how organised it makes me feel!!
Just realised I hadnt put much thought into Pips Birthday party on 9th Jan, so will need to try and think up some food and bits and make some invites.

Welldone you! :T
Stop being so hard on yourself though, you're done fantastically!
I started reading your diary as it caught my attention soon after I'd had my son, and I was amazed at how well you were doing even when you were on Maternity Leave.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Thanks Monkey, I WAS doing well but to be honest for various reasons this year has just kicked the s**t out of me. Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, financially and every other ally you can think of!!!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

So I flicked back and at beginning of year I still owed £13,731 and now own £11,879 so have only paid off £1852,not as much as I hoped for but really what I expected. I have paid off more but I know I had sneaked on a couple of things onto the CC so let it be a lesson to me. Not going to be too disheartened as its still a step in the right direction on the whole.

It doesn't matter whether its£50 or £500 off the debts, look at it this way
-that money if you hadn't of had the thread, you would have paid a bit - but penny to a pound
- you have had the year of hell with the cars, being poorly with your ears, the flat saga
So you have done brilliantly,
I'll be honest my sig may look brilliant, but I made the mistake of throwing every penny at the debt then having to use the cards to get by with - not a good move.... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
