    It is good isnt it.

This is another good one http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes

Grandads funeral later today so pottering round trying to keep my mind occupied. Dropped Pip off at Nursery for the whole day today and had to walk passed the undertakers which set me off crying, must have looked a right idiot walking into Nursery like it.

Really struggling with money this month, had so many extra bits to buy what with OHs birthday and Christmas. Borrowed some extra off of my Mum which I should be able to pay her straight back on 15th so not going to add it to my signature. I am due to get a bonus on payday in lieu of the project role I have been doing at work so fingers crossed it makes my bank balance healthier.

Stay safe and warm everyone x x

Helloooooooooooooo (if there is anyone there)

We had the internment today, it was a nice little service but absolutely freezing. I feel much more peaceful now than I did before the funeral. I am still sad obviously but it really does seem ever so slightly less painful.
MSE wise I am just about to do the Mr M shop so am armed with my list and aiming to be as cheap as poss. It really is tight this month, roll on the 15th. Work Christmas party tomorrow and they give you 3 free drinks voucher. A voucher entitles you to a spirit and mixer, pint of beer or a wine. So I am 'aiming' to just drink my freebies. Its at the Ricoh arena in Coventry and has an oscars theme, it should be good.

I have been shown another great website for loads of ideas including cheapy dinners.

i'm here, sending you hugs about the funeral, it's so hard isn't it?

Hope your Mr M shopping goes well. I have my hat off to you that you can meal plan so far in advance, i find it hard to meal plan for the next day which is probably why our food bill are much higher than we aim for.

Are you quite good at sticking to your meal plans, or do you find you tend to veer (sp?!) off, particularly with swapping things?
I found when I did ours too far in advance we ended up with arrows everywhere on the list where we had swapped meals to different days!
Now we tend to have a meal list but don't assign meals to days, then we don't feel like it's not working and give up altogether!

Mr M shop was AWESOME!!! I spent £52 and that included 2 bottles of Bacardi, a 2kg washing powder and a bottle of wine!!! There was tonnes reduced to 29p or less and lots of the stuff I needed, like washing powder, was on offer.

I do sometimes swap meal days. I allocate days when I am planning just so I know I have got each day covered but then I am flexible within the week because by planning in advance I dont know if we have friends over or we have a busy day.

LT I have to do it that far in advance, if I do it week by week I dont IYSWIM!!! I get to night before shop and cant be bothered or too busy or forget.

My Grandad passing is very hard as we were really close. At the funeral I was literally heartbroken :-(
But I am thankful I had such a wonderful Pappy for so long, I get sad when I think Pip wont really remember him. At the minute he still says "Pap" if you point to a photo so i will keep doing that and explain about him when Pips bigger. This is the least festive I have ever felt, it seems wrong to be preparing to celebrate when I feel so sad.

Thanks Rags, I guess you are right. Pap would want Pip to have a nice time x x

Tonight is our works party, I am wearing a dress I bought a few years ago and when I looked I found the handbag and shoes that match. When I opened the handbag there was the earrings, necklace and bracelet to match it all as well! So cost of outfit = ZERO! Like I said I am going to use my free drinks vouchers and have the table wine from dinner so should be no spends.

I am waiting in for my new laptop to be delivered. I got it and an ipod touch through work. They take it out of your salary before tax so you actually pay less tax and the items are heavily discounted. I get both for £20 a month.

Ha ha Rags yes I spend a lot of time on food and housekeeping websites trying to pick up tips. I spend far too long on facebook too though, I just cant kick my Cafeworld habit!!!

I'm so glad it's not just me. I want to delete the bloody thing, and I hate the fact that I can't! :o

Fab news about the outfit, I wish I had your luck. And Welldone you for being able to fit into a dress bought a few years ago! :D

I've spent hours trawling around the shops trying to find something to wear to my works party, and getting really down that not only have I not lost my baby weight, I've just piled it all on. So far have shelled out £12 on a big tummy squeezer-inner so at least I'm a bit less wobbly!! :D :rotfl::rotfl:
