So sorry to hear that. Big hugs for you definitely and your family. And don't even think of apologising for not updating.

All that I can say really is that like most things, they get easier with time.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and kind words. I will feel more settled when we have had the funeral, but it doesnt look like that will be until week after next.

IO have a few days off this week so I will be doing some Christmas bits, got to make the Christmas cake, going to take Pip to see Santa, finish writing cards and start the dreaded wrapping.

Is it wrong that I am still in PJs and dressing gown?? Pip is merrily playing with a crisp box!! He is sitting in it with all his bears, every now and then I drag him around the room a bit, LOL!

Ive got today off as a bereavement day, think I am back tomorrow then off Weds, Thurs and Fri as holiday. I had already booked it as it is OHs birthday. Not got him much in the way of pressies, just not got the spare cash.

My car is still abandoned half way down the street from where we tried ( and failed!) to bump start it. Not much point towing it to garage as I cant afford to do fix it so guess it will stay there until something turns up!!

Need to wrap OHs few pressies and also my Nans Birthday gifts, not that she will be in a very birthday mood. Still using the unchristmassy paper i got in the sales in Jan, its lasted me all year so very MSE!!

    Off for a look round x x

Eughhhhhhhhhhhhh! What a S***e day it has been.

The Coroner rang my Mum and she has had to go and formally identify my Paps body as there is to be an inquest as they have recorded a verdict of "unatural causes". He died of Sepsis and a 'hospital related infection'. Rags you might know more about Sepsis but it appears that his bowel surgery had been leaking and the vacuum they were using to heal the wound was also drawing any evidence of the leakage away. All of the symptoms of it he has had for a few weeks, the hallucinations, great difficulty breathing, reduced kidney function. They knew he had an infection somewhere and were treating him with high dose antibiotics, I guess this was keeping the sepsis at bay but ultimately was not the answer. I feel very angry right now.
