Right I have made a descision that is not very MSE in principle but I am going to take the concept and make its as MSE as possible! I am going to use it as even more motivation to save and clear my debts. So what is this monumental decision you ask? a new Baby? A wedding? Nope..................................

I wanna see Mickey Mouse!!!! character_46.gif

I am going to take Pippity to see Mickey Mouse, planning to go around OHs birthday in December 2011. I really wanted to go for my 30th in April but its just too soon and expensive! I am playing around with companies and options but it looks like it will be about £700 to get there, stay and go into the park and then of course will need spends.

Now as I have already said the rest of this year is going to be sooooooooooooooo tight so not much saving will go on I dont think but I can try.

Ahh big hugs to your grandad, bless him.
I am with you on the roller coaster of getting past the next few months, i am currently off sick and have been for 7 weeks (without pay) and my partner starts a new job tomorrow and we have to wait 6 weeks before he gets paid. I have no idea how i am going to pay the bills. Double eeekkkkk!!!

Yay to going to see Mickey Mouse!
And double Yay to finding a Mickey Mouse smiley!! :D
Much less hassle (and cheaper) than a new baby, and much more fun than a wedding!!

Which Disney are you planning on? Paris I would assume, otherwise costs would be

Pip will be a fab age for it too, and it is quite some time away so plenty of time to save up I reckon!!

Smarties - Wow thats going to be tough for you, big hugs. Hope you are feeling better soon x x

    - Ha ha ha yay to Mickey mouse smiley!!! Yep looking at Paris, Florida is not actually that much more but obviously spends would be huger and hassle flying with a toddler , eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
Start with Paris and see how we progress! I just worked out that to have a nice amount of spends I need to save about £80 a month which if I follow Stripey Stripes Fays example I could manage.

    Xmas Saver!
With what u have overcome over the last couple of years that I have known you through ur diaries and xmas threads, - your going to get there, - would say usual, surveys (thou there now seem to be fewer), every penny helps, whether its using Boots points etc and replacing with cash. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Wow to going to see Micky mouse!! pip will love it!! I would love to take the kiddies but think 1) it will cost a small fortune to take 5 kids and 2) I need to stop having babies so i dont alway have a bump or newborn to take with us lol.
Im sure you will do it and you will all have a great time!!!

Hope your grandad gets better soon - im really sorry to hear he has taken a turn for the worse. ((())) X

    Hi all x x

Not a very happy Pips Mum today as just found out OH might not have a job in 4 weeks time :-(
Not a lot we can do about it except wait and see really. He has only been there 6 months so its likely to be a case of last in first out. It just seems as soon as we get a plan together something else happens.

Pap is doing OK, his wound still isnt healing so they are using some special bandages that contain silver. Hopefully that will sort them out. He just looks very frail and weak, its still really upsetting as he used to be so active.

I am trying to feel happy though as I only half 1.5 days left at work and then I am off for 12 days. We are going to see In the night garden live on Thursday, I hope Pip will love it. Sunday we are going to see Guns and Roses and OHs early Birthday pressie, and then we are away for a week to Weymouth. I rang them and managed to get an extra night and a huge upgrade for £60, I know its more money but we will be much more comfortable especially as we are likely to spend more time in the lodge now!!

  • i know how you feel waiting to hear about your fellas job, been there twice with mine so sending you [STRIKE]big[/STRIKE] massive hugs.

Glad your pap is on the mend, silver is excellent for fighting infections in the wound. He may be weak now but thats just his body using all his energy to heal itself. Just make sure he is on a high protien diet (they have different coloured forms here that says high protien on the top), if not ask if he can be put on it as the protien aids healing.
sorry, will stop boring you with a science/nursey lesson!:rotfl:

on a good note, my mate took her little one to see in the night garden live and said it was fantastic!!!! pip will love it.
