I am very happy as my grandad is out of ICU and into High dependancy:j

It also means he will be able to have cards and presents for his Birthday on Tuesday. I have just made him a photo book of " a day in the life of Pip" its all photos of him in the park and playing. I used a A5 folder and wallets I *ahem* liberated from work and a pack of Tesco value photo paper that was under £2! So all in all a nice meaningful present for very few squids!

Maybe a little more MSEing can go on next week now I am not sooooooo stressed.

    Hugs to all x x

  • Thats great news about your grandad hun! the photo book sounds a great pressie and will perk him up no doubt.

Just seen your figure in your sig, MASSIVE WELL DONE!!!!! not far to go and you will be out of the double figures and into the single numbers! thats a great achievement given you have been on mat leave and everything else the year has thrown at you.

Thanks Rags, actuall you are the perfect person to ask. I just went to see him and he was perfectly fine some moments when talking and knew who i was. But then is convinced there are animals in the ward, he swore blind there was a cartoon character in the wall and that the nurses put him on a JCB roof outside all night. Now he was not like this at all before he went in and the nurses say they are not worried and that it could be sleep deprivation from in ICU as you never fully switch off. Or they think it might be a urinary infection. Do either of those sound possible?

I was really upset as it wasnt MY pap there :-(

UTI's can cause all sorts of confusion. When the antibiotics start to work I'm sure your pap will slowly return to the way to remember him.
