They were probably just jealous that you saved all that money and they paid over the odds for their kids shoes from Clarkes or somewhere equally as overpriced.
Whereas you took advantage of the free measuring service then get the same thing for half the price. I know who I'd rather be :)

Couldn't of said it better myself xx

Im watching the Help for Heroes concert on the beeb as 2 of my friends are on the front row, they are wearing bright pink cowboy hats and you can see them really clearly, its quite funny to see!

I just realised October is going to be a very tough month as we are going on hols, car tax is due, parking permit due, and need to pay for 3 sets of concert tickets. Yeah yeah i know I am naughty but taking OH to see Guns and Roses in October for his Birthday, going to see Scissor Sisters in December as my friends Christmas present and I am going to see the one and only Kylie Minogue next April just because I want to!!! I cant wait for all 3! Going to have to be a very tight budget but sure I can manage.

Bought another couple of Christmas presents so slowly but surely getting there.

Remember me saying about my friends BBQ party? Well she changed it to a pizza night instead, we had some 50% off coupons and fed 16 of us for £4.67 a head!!!! Had a great time and played on the wii, took our own booze and OH was driving so I must confess to being a little delicate this morning.

Right off for now but will be back later in week with some budgeting and payments.

    Have a good week till then x x x x

I think we'd all go mad if we didn't still splash out every once in a while just because we want to! I would say you've earned it!
I saw Scissor Sisters a few years back, 2007 I think, and it was absolutely fabulous! I used to go to so many live gigs before I was pregnant, and Scissor Sisters was up there with the best ones, because even though they aren't my favourite band, as you would imagine - they can definately put on a show. I'm sure you'll have a great time! :D

Made me think now how much I miss going to gigs. Funnnily enough we saw a band that me and OH love, and have seen once and were Amazing, are doing a one off gig next year. But because Monkeynut decided to make an appearance 2 weeks late, the gig is on his 1st Birthday. There needs to be a rolled eyes smiley!!

Good for you with the tickets, you deserve it, you work hard, got OH and Pip, so you deserve a treat. Love the Kylie concert. You go for it.

That was brillaint price for the pizza night, you couldn't get a double for that in most pubs. xx

 That's terrible. Do you pay for the term then regardless? Or how does it work. That's mad though, although I suppose they would justify it by saying that they need to have the staff there because obviously they don't know that children would be poorly, so they need to be paid. Don't get me wrong, I still think it's ridiculous.

yep I think you are right about the staffing which of course I do understand but man I could have done alot with £200!! You pay in advance for the month, this is the 2nd week he has been ill so hasnt gone.

Yeah however understandable it is, it still sucks!
I guess just try and look at it as it's regular money going out so at least it wasn't a suprise £200 to pay. Or did it mean that you had to take time off work to look after him while he's poorly, and would you have lost money because of this?
    Hope Pip feels better soon.
