Ive had a hair brained idea folks!

You know how I am REALLY stressed that if we havent cleared debts, and havent got savings, and cant get a new mortgage beacuse of naff credit ratings then Pip will have to go to really cruddy school in this area?

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll I figured we could rent out 2our" house and still rent my flat and then we could rent a nice house in the nice part of town so Pip can go to the nice school! Yay! Yay! Just looking on some rental sites and the rents are quite high but we could get a lush, lush house and Pip can go to nice school and get proper education and not get in rouble because hes not been kept interested.

Phew worn out after speed typing in excitement.............................off for lie down!!

    TTFN! x x

  • You know that's exactly my kind of logic - if you can make the numbers work then I'd go for it - :)

You do know that I'm not known for exactly sane choices eh? But lifes the important thing.....................I moved up here just for school.

Left OH in a 'nice' big flat
    Left my pals
Left everything - to start again where they needed to be for school my DS is a bit 'nervy' and he'd have sunk at a big normal comprehensive - his school up here has 400 kids - he's going great guns and loves it.

Your move obviously isnt so extreme - whilst its been challenging up here - I don't regret it nor would I move back to make life a bit simplier - a happy life at school (IMHO) is one of the key things you can give your kids - if you've found a nice school that you like - he'll like it too.

Can you register at the school etc for nursery if you're not in the catchment yet and blag not renting until he's ready for school - to give you time to pay lots off debts?

I am not sure how school system works where you are Pipsmum, but here you need to be living in the area when the council issue the forms this is usually in the September of the year before they are due to start school. But I do know other areas where you register directly with the school and go onto a waiting list and some parents register their kids before they are born.
If you cant clear your debts in time to be able to buy and sell on then rent8ng does sound like a good idea. But to make it work you are going to have to look into the school admissions systems and policy in the area. Good luck. I am with you choosing the right school is vital.

    Thanks all.

Here are some of the nice houses that are do-able for us:

    Pretty country looking

Ha ha! How grand is this one!! I feel i would have to get a butler!:rotfl:
    house3.jpg

I know prices change and stuff and hopefully it wont come to it but I feel much more relieved having a back up plan in place.

Went for a little wander up one of the shopping streets today with my Mum and pips pram to lean on. Went in a fw charity shops and got a lovely new cardigan for me for work for £3 a beaded purse for friends 30th Birthday 30 pressie box, and a 3rd contraversial item!

I bought................................ a Ted baker cute top, in excellent condition for £2 and im going to Ebay it. BUT before you all inhale deeply and tut I will donate back half of whatever profit I make on it to the charity. Felt a bit immoral when I first thought of it but then figured the charity has the opportunity to do it themselves. Anyhoo figured I had come to a mutually beneficial outcome.

I just watched one born every minute and was literally so angry with that awful Dad! Thos who watched it will know who i mean but for those who didnt he was telling his VBAC wife that it was all her fault if she was in pain, he moaned that she was taking too long to give birth, telling her she couldnt do it and then SHE apolgised to him after the baby was born. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

    Well done on lucious! :)

Hurray in general - sure you can rustle up some sneaky great meals to have instead of spending that £45 that you've shoved at your debts

    GO YOU!

Hope Pip goes on ok, thats gd news the rash has gone down, if he's still out of sorts may be worth going to get him checked out.

DD - gone better, she suffers from dry skin, meant to have oil in every bath, but as the showers over the bath, we oil at weekend, otherwise one of us go bum over boobs.....

Just flares up, but after putting on 1/4 bottle of the cream a lot better this morning!! xx
