Thank you all. Mr Pips Mum had a nice un 30th. He loves the guitar hero I got cheap for him and we have played it loads.
We both have the week off of work so we took Pip to see Santa yesterday. He loved it and all the pretty decorations.
I am going to be a didy bit naughty and put a £45 trike on my CC this week BUT its only until I get paid next Monday as OH and I will be back at work then and I really need him to carry the trike.
Off to look at rest of forum now

Hi Pipsmum, just not adding to debt this time of the year is a MAJOR achievement. I mentioned I had been left some money by my great uncle - it is not enough to pay my debt off as originally thought and I am finding it hard to work out what I should pay off when it comes through. I am sooo scared though that I will get into mega debt again, I really don't trust myself and feel that because I have been helped out a little I have not really learned my lesson the hard way! You have been a real inspiration to me, reducing your debts and being on maternity leave is amazing. I think I may hand over the money to hubby who is good with money but I also want to be an adult and show myself I can do it.0

Spend - You can remain debt free Im sure you can. OK so technically you havent "learnt the hard way" but I am sure you have had enough hard times since your LBM to be enough of a deterrent x x
I have finished wrapping my presents nearly.Ive done most of them this morning , Pip is having a nap and OH has had a mega long bath so i whacked on ELF and just plodded through.
Christmas cards next. I dont really like doing the cards as I feel I have to write something personal in them all and it takes forever. Maybe do them later tonight with a drop of Baileys!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Def agree with the Bailey, but a drop........ no..... a large glass is highly recommended!
Do you want to swop places, just attempting my OU assisgnment and plan next week to do wrapping, still got 4 to post!! xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
thanks Pipsmum, I won't be debt free as my debt once I obtained settlement figures is higher than I thought but it will be a good chunk gone and I can then throw more at whats left. I really feel bad though that I am using somebody's hard earned cash who has died to pay my flipping debts off! I can't wait for my overdraft to be gone more than anything, to go to the bank and see a positive balance for the first time in years!!! I know what you mean with the cards, I feel I have to put a personal note in each and it takes forever!! Hope you got them all done and enjoyed the baileys. I have a bottle which keeps calling me but I know once I open it it will be gone so trying to save a bit longer.
You are organised with your wrapping, I still have all mine to do and I hate it. I am off work tomorrow but got loads of running about to do, hoping to be able to at least start the wrapping. Works christmas party tomorrow night so looking forward to that.0 -
