Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to manky, skanky, selfish OH :mad:
He owes £6000 OD to Halifax & £2500 CC to MBNA. Halifax will accept nothing less than £500 a month in repayments which obviously we cant afford, they wont budge so he just hasnt been paying them anything!! I didnt know this until today when e had a phone interview with CCCS and they suggested BANKRUPTCY was the best way forward for him!
I mean oh my God, Bankruptcy and I didnt even know!
So when I find this out I am straight on here trying to find alternatives and advice and I find IVAs so I google it and come across Payplan (dont know why I didnt think of them first as they helped me with my DMP) it asks a few questions so they can arrange someone to call you and about 3 questions in he yells that he cant be bothered! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR:mad:
If he has to declare himself bankrupt then we are screwed, I looked into mortgages after bankruptcy on here and peeps are saying if and its a big IF you can get a company to take you on they want 40 to 50% deposit
SO we wouldnt be able to move so we could be in a catchment area for a better school for Pip so already he has screwed Pip over.
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoyed (maybe you could tell!!)
I feel I am doing everything I can to sort my money and debts out but whats the point if he is not going to do anything about his?
I feel completely s**t about my candle splurge the other day but then think s*d it!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Oh dear, I'm so sorry for you to have to take all that on board, but what's done is done. Everyone is probably a little hot under the collar at the moment, maybe things will be more approachable and you will both be able to find a way through this once the anger has calmed a little.
Life is never fair or even.

been offline for a long time for various reasons so just catching up. So sorry Pipsmum to hear your news. Thats a very unreasonable amount of money to be asking for every month, is there no way they could go less. It would cost them loads to make him bankrupt, surely its not worth their while for a small amount (in their eyes not yours)!! Sounds like he has been burying his head which must be so frustrating when you are doing so well. Keep posting to let us know how you are doing. x0

Thanks for letting me vent ladies!!
It appears he does listen to me more than I think though as he has just come home from work to tell me that he has spoken to Payplan and they dont think he needs to go bankrupt and they are ringing him next week to discuss it properly. He has also has cut his car insurance from £110 per month to £49 by looking on here and doing as Martin suggests.
So I am a little less angsty today!!
Went into town to pay some money into bank to stop me being over overdraft. Sainsburys had their treatsize mars snacks for £1.50 a bag so just got a couple for Halloween, but other than that didnt buy anything.
Paid £118 to Egg loan nothing more to Lucius which is really frustrating me.
Oh well off to do a shopping list for tomorrow!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

glad its getting sorted now, and i find men pretend not to listen till they realise we are right................takes a while with my fella but he gets there in the end.
dont feel down bout not paying anything extra off lucius, just think that with each payment else where your TOTAL debt amount is reducing.
big hugs

glad it's sorted Pipsmum, was horrified when i read your grrrrr message. Maybe he's the knee jerk reaction person who always says no to whatever you suggest but when they've had a quiet think about it they come round to the right way (aka your way).
I've had to plant the seed of an idea in my OH's head recently, took him a week, but i suddenly got do you want to do ......? so that was a result in a way0
