Surely it is slightly worried people who trawl back 2 years or more to find a thread that they hope cements their current line of thought. After all the posters on each of the 'divide' are hardly likely to change their position, so their seems little point.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but doing this is like posting the winning lottery numbers from last Christmas, it's easy to know them after the draw.
Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.

Wow, I know it's a slow night tonight, but surely there must be something better on the telly than reading through dozens of old threads?

Oh I think it's always the decent thing to do to provide pertinent information to new readers....

Like how spectacularly wrong carolt and her army of sockpuppets have been for so many years, about pretty much everything.

Seems like a public service really.;)

maybe - but it's always good to see the same people predicting these crashes that are around the corner that never seems to arrive are still posting the same stuff...

i excuse your moderate self in that statement

Kind of you chucky, I think (and try) to make an honest assessment of a situation as I see it, I think people 'should' change their mind, as new evidence presents itself.

For instance, if nuclear fusion had a 'eureka' moment tomorrow I would be the first to change my mindset on my rather entrenched theory of 'peak energy'.

If you don't allow 'other's' opinions to pass through what maybe your dogmatic opinion on a subject, you're unlikely to ever learn much.

I wasn't reading loads of old threads just for the sake of it, I simply ran a search to proove the information I put accross was correct and found some interesting threads.

The patting on the back only confirms this.

I'm sure rewired will be along to add to your thanks tally Graham, don't worry ;)

I personally couldn't give two hoots about the thanks.

I thank posts I agree with. I've even thanked yours on occasion.

Being thanked (especially by sockies) really doesn't mean a thing.
