Just signed up to Littlewoods bingo purely for free daily scratch card - quite like the thought that the £10 I deposited and then withdrew will take a few days to show on my available balance so it'll be a nice treat when it does!

Bathgatebuyer you're doing so well on the charges, it must be such a kick for you, knowing the companies themselves are helping to bring the debt down. Shame they put it there in the first place though...

Definitely! Anything that helps reduce the balance. I'm presently paying 21.9% interest on that (it was 16.9% the month before they cancelled the Egg card in Feb 08  ), but I've been accepted for a 0% balance transfer which I'm going to chuck this onto to get rid. Hopefully within about 5 months or so if I really go for it (famous last words!)
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Well I have just been given a 12lb turkey, one of my old ladies had it delivered from her ex employers. Nice gesture but whatever does a little old lady on her own want with a 12lb turkey:confused::confused: . It was delivered frozen this morning and she put it in fridge so it has now started to defrost and will need cooking tomorrow.
Tomorrow I will be doing 101 ways to use turkey and freezing it, but will make some small casseroles and turkey and leek pies for her - much more useful.
I have had 4 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of baileys, jack daniels, shortbread, choc biscuits, thorntons chocs, ferrero rochers and smellies also given to me today from some of oldies, so that's me sorted for goodies over xmas:j
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

    Todat I have:

Checked my balance and last month's statement online.
Put all my account's details in to a spreadsheet. Phone numers, account numbers, current balances etc.
Put another £100 in my contingency fund. (This may yet need to be a BR fund. In the meantime, I know me and the cats won't starve...)

I thought that was quite a productive day.
