Sophiesmum you poor thing the lurgy is a horrible one this year, look after yourself. I'm still nursing the secondary infection the lurgy gave me as an after-thought!

KT things are sounding exciting, will be off to see you diary as soon as it's up!

Bathgatebuyer you're doing so well on the charges, it must be such a kick for you, knowing the companies themselves are helping to bring the debt down. Shame they put it there in the first place though...

I have virtually nothing to report, still at home, have decided I don't like bronchitis at all, I'm still wheezing so am considering making a sideline from dirty phone calls...but it has been another nsd, I think today will make it 9 on the trot!

The scratch cards are giving you a pound for logging into today so have made £2.20! Actually I've made £8.20 this week on them, not bad at all...

Not much else to report, will probably sneak off to visit horse later, it's been a long week...

    Morning all!!
It's horrible here today - sooo dark and yukky outside, I couldn't sleep because the wind and rain is so strong! Where's all the snow?!

    My list for today:
    • one last washing for today (hopefully!), dry on airers
    • washing up - is starting to take over the kitchen - I hate washing up!
    • telephone shop in Edinburgh to check present I'm going to pick up is in stock - hopefully to save a 3 hour wasted journey!
    • teaching tonight so will get train there and back - leave early to miss rush hour on trains
    • joined Toluna last night, so will go and check that out properly - 60000 points seems A LOT!!
    • do surveys and daily scratch card
    • spend some time on STP - making real money, woohoo!! Hopefully have time to get £2.50 today :)

Not all necessarily MSE related, but writing everything down gives me more chance of actually getting my bum in gear and doing it!! :rotfl:

Have a lovely day guys, hope it's nicer weather for everyone!

  • Morning all!

KTJazz LOVE the secret santa present! What a caring gift ;)

MrsAudus2B Have you been to the "Andan School of List Making" ?! Blimey, I feel really lazy after looking at what you're doing today!!

WAS feeling christmassy until OH told me he'd be late home tonight and has to work tomorrow. Know he's in fear for his job but theres a limit! Have had to ask my poorly mum to have little one as I HAVE to be on time to work today (have had to be late all week due to mum being ill and OH being late). I work for a parcel carrier and its the busiest week of the year....at this rate I'll be sacked! Funny how men think their jobs are always more important.....ignore me, I'm just grumpy!

Anyway, here's Grumpy's list for today:

    * Lots of washing at 30'c
    * Handful of change into sealed pot
    * Be on time for work - preventing docking of wages!:o
    * Heating off as not too chilly here today
    * Spent less in Sainsburys than planned as VERY busy and Grumpy here got peed off trying to get round with the pushchair :o
    * Checked on line banking - payday!
    * Looked at price of turkey crowns  and then just got one of those pieces of turkey in a foil tray for £4.49 instead. Its only for step-kids on boxing day (won't eat gammon or beef...fussy little....I'm calm I'm calm......)

Thats about it! I promise to perk up and stop being so Bah Humbug!!

    Miss P
    xx

  • Hey

I've been ill and confused the past week... just not very good with coping with illnesses so money saving got forgotten for a little bit...

Somehow during that time I mananged to complete buying all my presents (all brought for under £5 each!) Got my £50 Amazon Voucher from Qype which helped with a couple of them! I have £15 from Quidco in my Paypal with another £50 heading there this month as well.....

But little things had been put on hold

Today is the first day I've felt back to normal and haven't spent the day choking so the little things tonight, I'm just going to re-work out what debt is owing (just waiting for my MBMA bill before can update sig!) and work out where my money is going this month!

Hope everyone is well and isn't suffering from any of these crazy colds that are going around!! xx
