So far today I have ...

    1. Remembered my card reader so caught up with banking online
    2. Finally cancelled an annual DD I really should have cancelled this year
    3. Updated my budget spreadsheet (it's starting to look positive - the big red numbers are getting gradually smaller)
    4. Entered all the online cash competitions not already entered

    Still to do ...

    5. Weekly shopping on way home to save extra trip in car
    6. May not go out tonight (I don't drink as I have to drive, so don't spend a lot, but every little helps, as they say)
    7. My DFW diary
    8. Transfer miniscule savings over to offset against overdraft and/or get rid of at least 1 credit card next billing

Just snaffled a handful of Celebrations and some mini cans of fizzy pop from the Xmas buffet - now I definitely have enough free snacks for the pictures tonight!

Oh, and boss gave everyone in the team a bottle of wine and a bag of M&S chocs, so that's tomorrow night sorted (me and BF are celebrating Xmas day on Sunday as we'll be apart for the actual day, so tomorrow is Xmas eve!). The chocs also had a felt reindeer attached so am saving that for my craft box :)

Hope those feeling poorly get well soon and those going to xmas parties have a great time.

MrsA, i have taught you well!! I think you definitely deserve a gold star:T

Today is a fab day for me, despite headache and cough, as today we broke up for half term!!:j:j:beer::j So not much of a list today, trying to catch up with friends at the mo and sharing festivities with them!!

    So today's list:
-Got lots of lovely little pressies from work
-Free bottle of cava, which means i don't have to buy one for Christmas now
-Lots of free food left over from Christmas party that i have taken home
-Free bottle of pop, brand name as well, so very much welcome
-Have cancelled plans with one friend, but saves me money, as it would have cost£5 in petrol there and back
-Arranged to catch up with another friend but she is coming round to mine and i will cook something rather than us getting a take away or me spending £5 on petrol there and back
-Got in touch with another friend who wants a treatment from me
    -Put money in sealed pot
    -Done daily scratch cards
    -Looked for mystery shops
-Heating and elec off for as long as possible, think this is rubbing off on my partner at last as i got home and for the first time ever he had shut the curtains in the lounge and retained the heat, plus had the heating on low:eek:

-Have checked business emails and web site optimisation
    -Read up on fave threads

    -Sort through emails
    -Do some surveys
-Sort out gift voucher for friend
    -check freecycle
    -Pay credit card
    -Sort out tomorrow's mystery shop
    -Check website for business advice
-Write up business notes from yesterday
-Try and find p60s for funding issue
    -Use up wine in fridge
-Had free lunch at work thanks to the christmas party
-Sort out annual budget for the live on £4000 challenge

Think that's enough for me, am going to enjoy the rest of my day
    :j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

    Hi Everyone

Looks like we're all being productive today!

KTJazz - will you share some of you cold and flu stuff? I can't believe it - I've got another bl**dy cold!

Oh well I'm not going to let it spoil my fun or my DFW ways!

    Today I will/have:
    • Go the Tate Modern with a friend. I have a membership card which seems extravagant but I go quite often and it pays for itself over the year,
    • [STRIKE]Charge my phone at work[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Put some spare change in my sealed tin[/STRIKE]
    • Put on BM to have a lovely warm loaf for tomorrow morning.
I had a chat with my lodger the other day about his over-friendliness with the over-ride button on the central heating! It seems to have done the trick. He is behaving himself so that's good.

I'll see all of you at the weekend. Hope your hangovers aren't too bad!

I've had the usual mix of awesome money saving ;) and being a spendasaurus (large dinosaurs, commonly found in London's shopping arcades).

    Good:

Cancelled two insurance policies that were redundant (old home contents and pet insurance for an animal I don't look after any more). This is worth about £20/mth to me
Put another couple of quid in my virtual pot (~1/6 of the way to my target in less than three weeks!)
Put quite a lot in my sealed jar, as I got some £2 coins and did spend some money today. I'd rather try and salvage something from shopping by keeping the change - makes me feel a little less guilty!
Will do my free daily scratch and Quidco clicks when I get in from work

    Bad:

Spent £3 on breakfast from Pret (no food at home, got an earlier train than usual and had to get to work early so that I can leave early!)
Spent an additional £10 or so on food for the weekend :( In my defence I got a selection of sushi, some snacks, eggs, muffins and lunch for this.. Will be having an awesome dinner of sushi, snacks, chocolate and wine (the last two were free)..
  • Hi guys

Weather is rubbish so I am stuck here til it settles - means all my plans are now higglety piggelty
