But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today I will:
- check online banking
- move some cash into savings
- update spreadsheets
- make a loaf in breadmaker
- put some coins in sealed pot
- storecupboard lunch
- cooking tea for oldies at work so will eat for free
- laundry hokey cokey
- sparkle through to the weekend when I can collapse in a heap with this lurgy:o
Hugs to all those in need. Hi to all the regular posters and welcome to any newbies.
See you later, running late for work this morning - all my get up and go has got up and gone:rolleyes:

Today I have done/will do:
- Washing at 30 degrees

- Take flask to work instead of buying tea/coffee

- Realise that t'other half didn't buy bread so no sandwiches, do I cave and buy a sandwich at work? No, put on some pasta to have with sauce at lunchtime!
- Checked internet banking - payday today so made my PADs to debts - total made £30
- Updated lovely new notebook with PAD and wages info - none of your spreadsheets nonsense for me

- Inventory what food we have in the cupboard, throw out spoiled veg etc. Beg best friend to take me to Tesco this weekend to save the delivery charge - this close to Christmas I will be lucky to get a delivery slot and won't benefit from reduced food if available!

- If above-mentioned best friend has recovered from her cold, we shall go and see The Changeling at the pictures

- Make dinner with food from the freezer, not payday takeaway
- Try and find free newspaper on the bus
- Package up Ebay stuff, as auctions close tomorrow
- Opened another web account to house my Entertainment/going out money so I can track my budget more easily!
- Ordered £20 Asda vouchers from Ipoints, should arrive in a few weeks, given the Christmas post
0 - Washing at 30 degrees

It's the work Xmas party this afternoon. I didn't want to drive in and leave my car in the work car park til Monday (not a nice area), so "genius" me thought I'd walk. Lol! I now have crippling leg pain! But hey, one less day of petrol.:TPlease continue to hold the line. Your call is very important to us and will be answered by next available robot...0

Hello everyone!
Sorry for my absense yesterday, I was busy spending far too much money and being a little ashamed of myself and then having a revelation (more about that in my MSE diary)
Here is my list for today
- drink free coffee at work
- check banking and either [STRIKE]cry[/STRIKE] or giggle (possible hysteria)
- finish off all the work I can here so as to not think about this place again until Jan 5th!
- Drive back into Edinburgh for work night out (meaning I save on Public transport costs - more than a tenner each way- and meaning I can't drink so saving money there too)
- charge mobile and mp3 player at work
- pick up my secret santa present!
- Update MSE diary
- Buffet lunch at work where everyone brings something (I was boring and brought 2 multibags of McCoys)
- prettify myself if at all possible for the night out
Thats all from me.
((hugs)) to all!
KT. x:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!

Hello everyone
Not last day at work for me, have to come in Monday and Tuesday next week too - boooo.
Today will/have:
Checked online banking - Paypal payment for BF's Football Manager has come out, so transferred £4 to virtual sealed pot to round balance back down to nearest £10.
BFs monthly payment to mortgage deposit has gone in, he's transferred an extra £100 that he got from his M&D for xmas so balance is looking nicely healthy now!
Updated signature with new totals.
Made salad from fridge for either lunch or tea - supposed to be going for office lunch today but is £6.95 for fish finger sandwich, plus a drink - can't really justify it. If I do go I will have the salad for tea before going to see TWILIGHT - so excited!
(Using money off card to get cheaper tickets!)
Brought in sweets from home to take to cinema.
Checked Pigsback, Enjoy England points added so on my way to another voucher (miles away still but it's free money I guess!)
I think that's everything for today - will try and have LSD if I don't go for lunch.
Have a good day all xx0 -
I'm gutted to see an ad for the Top Up TV box I bought for my Mum on Wednesday to have ben reduced yesterday by £21 at Argos (set top boxes not covered by the 30 day guarantee  )
Had a look at my Egg credit card account online and the £280 credited back to me in credit card charges reclaims has been credited to my account (since June, the balance of this card has gone from £2,300 to £1,300
