  • im pretty stressed out about it!
  • the skip is very close and being a long wheel base im not convinced i would of been able to get round it
  • as ive also read in previous messages the bay markings are so so close to the "obstruction" if cars were in them you wouldnt have a chance!

Don't want to hijack this thread, but I’d love to know the outcome of the appeal that you mention, Neil B.

My wife and I currently have an outstanding PCN with Islington, for the same offence, that we have recently submitted representations on.

My main problem with the PCN is the 7.5t plus, delivery vehicle, which is both obscuring the sign that is allegedly contravened as well as blocking the entrance to the width restriction into which they are trying to direct traffic.

They claim to have HQ digital evidence of the offence, unfortunately this does not extend to pictures with a legible number plate on the vehicle that is alleged to have committed the contravention. This being the case we can't really admit to any offence from this notice. I'm sure that is wholly irrelevant but, as my wife is the party to whom they have sent the PCN and I am the driver, she has been instructed not to pass it to me and a whole lot of confusion ensues.

I am interested in any objections that I may raise on appeal to PATAS. My experience with Islington is that they will ignore the representations, no matter how valid.

    PCN:

this is the same contravention as mine and at the same place!
  • the way i approached the traffic restriction can be seen in my two photos an i havent plainly driven straight througe the wide section like some other peoples posts ive seen on here relating to different roads...
  • apologies for the 10 seperate messages...

I think it takes ten posts or something before you can post images. Quite obstructive to getting cases moving. othe sites don't have that.

what date of contravention and date of PCN?

Take a look at http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=37292&st=45 which covers what you are talking about, I think. If so start another thread and post (when you can) the edited paperwork you have rec'd. There's some hope as the adjudicator has overuled a council on this but its to go before a high court for a ruling. If only councils used some common sense when levying fines as its obvious you would have had difficulty getting through the narrow slot they leave you.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

SO IS THERE ANYONE WHO COULD HELP ME!!!?? ????-NEIL B-???

For this particular case you would be best off taking this to PePiPoo where there are several other cases.

you should note that the main error on the PCN is no longer there on PCNs seen since early April.
