Pointless property programs

Yes, that is soooo funny, that they now have to Date-Stamp these programs in case they are accused of misleading the public.besonders1 wrote: »They're kind of ironic now, but for the people who were attracted by these "get rich" schemes, they just "rub it in". I have noticed the same repeated shows are on TV but with a subtitles at the end of the valuation advising "spring 2007"
Never know they could even be sued in court for fraud or deception.0 -
I think it's unlikely any program you see was filmed 2-3 months ago.
This is the problem, the programs seem like from a property frenzy time warp.
Unfortunately many programs don't always have dates, so they can be repeated without people knowing they are watching an old or repeated program.
In the heyday boom times I regularly saw endless property programs & you had no idea when they were filmed, as they were filmed in a way like it was yesterday.
Skillfully deceiving.
I was watching one the other week where a man in animal skins who had a beard and big club had bought a repossessed cave in South-East London for 2 deers and a ceramic pot with the idea of flipping for a profit. He added a firepit and couple of trendy cave paintings and managed to sell for 3 deers and one of those cars they use in The Flintstones that you peddle with your feet. Think that was quite an old episode, but they didn't tell you the actual date.0 -
Surely you don't believe it, this is just a front.Pyewacket338 wrote: »The difference with The Home Show is that it classes a house as a home, not as a way of making a financial killing.....
They're just dying to go back to those property boom, how much can you make type programs, buy turn property around type programs.0 -
I suspect that the directors of the production companies producing property prawn are heavily invested in property.
I would like to see a full disclosure of interests from everybody involved.0 -

Good point. I also hear that the directors of Deal or No Deal own a box factory.
I too would like to see a full disclosure from everybody involved.0 -
I too heard them referred to as property po*n, which to me seemed very apt. The pseudo-sexual appeal has of course now disappeared with the crash and many blame them as though they were a cause of STD.0

They made reference to Winter 2008 in the current tense, so I assumed it was quite recent. My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0
