You can't sell on these forums?

@helen21, you can get the v220 for £29.99 off the o2 student website at:

http://shop.o2.co.uk/student

Click on all phones, then pay as you go on the left once the page has loaded. Saves you the hassles of spam mails from lxdirect.

ps, you dont need to be a student either!
Your link says timed out, is this the refurbished ones?
• Thanks Helen, quite correct no selling allowed on the forums or via pm's

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

• @ edinburgh lass - I said no selling, not helen! :-p

helen21 - sorry I think I meant the link https://www.thelink.co.uk and do a search for the v220 - yes that is refurb but to be honest with you they dnot normally look too bad (which is why I got confused with the o2 link as I always appreciate the o2 refurn deals).

HTH.

HTH.

I had to delete a number of posts in this thread including one from Helen where she pointed out to a user there was no selling permitted on the boards or via pm so hence why I thanked her and placed the BG comment.

I think between us all though we have got the point across icon7.gif

Hi all, we went for the nokia 3220 as i was a little concerned she would be unhappy with the V220 and didnt fancy paying to have it unlocked, so picked up nokia 3220 this morning for £34-99 so a fiver saved and hopefully free to unlock, she will be home at 4 so we will have to wait and see if she loves it or not :D Thanks to everybody for all your help XX

I got the v220 on the offer a month or two back.

I can't say it is too bad, as I haven't used it a lot, but it performs less well in marginal signal areas (like my home) than a couple of Nokias, and seems to have quite a bit shorter battery life. And as I'm more used to Nokia's menu system, this one feels a bit strange.

I hope your daughter will be happy with your choice. I certainly feel that you've made a pragmatic decision, but of course for some the look of the phone comes into it more.

It is, I just unlocked my friend's using a code generator from here....nokia unlocker

You have to leave the original sim in to unlock it, or else you can't get to the front screen to type in the code.

It took about 2 minutes.
