Helen, dont touch the V220 with a bargepole. Its small, fiddly and nasty. Ive seen better cameras on Poundland stuff (and thats being nice). It looks ok, but personally im sure you can find better for forty pounds. When my contract finishes im going to let my eight year old have it. I only very occasionally use it as a spare phone, but I def wouldnt recommend you buy it.

LxDirect are selling it for £49.99 the last time i saw, if you are a new costumer you get £20 off your firs order, if you are not just make a new account and use a new card. Basically, my point here is you can get that phone for £29.99. I've got the phone myself, it was on Orange at first but i got it unlocked for £5.

    Hope that helps.

No they are all out of stock, it isnt the price its whether it was any good
  • The camera is appauling and the screen not that great. Looks all washed out as it uses a STN screen rather than the common (better) LCD screens..

    Nokia 3220 from orange direct.

    http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handset/nokia_3220/detail/pay_as_you_go

It has a camera, and those trendy disco light things, and she can chose her own cover if she gets bored at all with the phone.

Nokias usually have reasonable cameras and are well built.

Have a look at Nokia's website too.. http://www.europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,,58033,00.html

You can always try ebay too.

Also if you get a handset on o2, they generally don't need to be unlocked as they don't usually put a simlock on. Although this is not always the case.

    Hope this helps.

  • @helen21, you can get the v220 for £29.99 off the o2 student website at:

    http://shop.o2.co.uk/student

Click on all phones, then pay as you go on the left once the page has loaded. Saves you the hassles of spam mails from lxdirect.

ps, you dont need to be a student either!
