Advice please... Motorola V3 deals
Ok, I'm after this phone. Seems pretty snazzy.
So firstly, who can confirm that this is actually a decent phone? I'm not bothered about fancy features, as long as it makes calls and looks pretty cool!
Secondly, the best x-net deal I've come across is from buymobilephones.net which gives 8 months free line rental on O2 250 (plus 50 txts p/m). So unless anyone can recommend something better that's the one I'm going to go with.
Thanks in advance!

Cant recommend a tarrif for you as i am on virgin psyg. However the phone is great, looks dead cool especially in low light. Is solid cos is made of alloy, therfore feels cold in the hand and weighs a bit. Only downside, cannot record movies and memory is a bit small.0

There's a new version of the V3 coming out. Can't comment on the new one, but the old one is seriously out dated.0

the old one is ok not great just ok, beware of facial hair though - the alloy keypad has a knack of trapping hairs & you have to pull it out or be stuck with a mobile to your face!!
bloody sore from experience! If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -

I've just increased my memory to 10MB :T I've also added a video recorder on it :T
I have a Hot Pink V3 and all i can say is that it is beautiful. I get lots of people looking at me when i'm on the phone or texting
I find texting is simple, it's like your writing on actual paper as it has lines to write on.
The sound quality is impressive. It is weighty, but who cares it's a pretty looking phone and fits in my back jeans pocket, very slim and will fit inside a clutch bag easily.
Nice alloy colour Pink :T0 -

Found good deal on OSPS. It's on OVP Voda Anytime 100 tariff, costing 99p for 10 months & 22£ for the last two months. So total cost over a year will be 53.90£. That's the cheapest deal on web. I'm using OSPS for my current contract & had no problems on cashback claims, always received cashback on time & promptly.
If you use OSPS refer-a-friend, it gives 20£ (or share of it) back in your pocket & plus use cashback site to boost your cash return (linemypocket gives 11£ & quidco gives 20£). So if you order with refer-a-friend plus quidco, total cost over a year just 14£ to enjoy V3. :T

I ordered this earlier this week. The 99p for 10 months is after cash back in months 4,6 and 12.
You pay
£11 per month for 3 months, then £22 per month for 9 months with
£3 after month 3 (automatic from network)
and 3 x £58 in Months 4,6, and 12 from memory
Also watch out if you go over the 100 minutes it is not that cheap 25p a minute? again from memory, not a bad deal.
Unit does not come with car charger or case, the latter help protect the unit for resale. It is locked on Orange.Seth.0 -

You can flash it yourself with the usb cable supplied with the phone .. the new firmware enables video recording and frees up more memory.
Simple job to do.
The new versions of the phone should already have the firmware installed though.0 -

Doesn't get that good a rating though ..
Well done on doing your upgrade .. did you unbrand it at the same time?
You can also do a little mod to make the speakerphone work with the flip closed and another to make the volume a little louder0
