Back to work today... was quite a productive day though which is good. I have been going to work half an hour earlier and quite like it as gives me an easier start to the day. My boss has noticed as well which is good :A
I rang the estate agent today and they said everything with flat is going forward. They are just waiting for the Landlord to finish the tenancy agreements. I have booked the day off next Friday to get keys etc though which is exciting.
I have also started ordering furniture and have ordered a mattress as is on sale with M and S. I wanted to order bed frame from Argos too but didn't seem to let you choose delivery date so leaving that till we are in the flat. Might end up sleeping on mattress on floor for a bit.0 -
Well the tenancy agreements now ready for us to sign but the estate agent said she is still chasing references which is a bit strange. We are going up sat to sign it anyway.
I also had a phone call and mattress won't be with us till 15th May so will have to sleep on airbed for a couple of weeks which could be fun...
I went for dinner last night with my Mum and sister as Mum was up. We went to La Tasca and used 50% off voucher. I was quite good and didn't have too much and quite a lot of salad so diet is still going well.
We also looked in New Look and I saw some shoes I really liked so today I went back with 25% off voucher from Grazia and bought them. They are really nice and will be good for holiday and general summer wear.
I am not doing bad moneywise this month, have a lot more than I did this time last month. I do need to get a couple of birthday pressies this week and we are going bowling and Nandos Sat so will have a few things that need money for.0 -
That's a pain with the references, hopefully it'll be sorted soon so you can sign. When do you move?
Way to go on the savings in New Look, i was going to buy Grazia after seeing Martins e-mail, but thought to myself no, must stop spending money on clothes lol. How's the holiday shopping going, found many bargains?
Nandos and bowling sounds like a wicked Saturday night! love it!
Hope you're well Wendz! The very best things in life ... are free!

Ah Wendz I'm jealous of you furniture shopping - I wanna do that! And also holiday clothes shopping which is something I'm trying to avoid!
Glad things are starting to come together, eek to the airped though! Make sure you keep going to yoga haha!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I have had a good weekend so far. We went to sign the contracts yesterday morning. They have my reference from my letting agent at the moment but they don't have our work ones so we are both going to chase those up as we get the keys Friday! We also need to get contents insurance which we have to have to get the keys so need to sort that out this week. I am excited about the move just hope we manage to sort these references out.
We went to see my friend and her little one again yesterday and all my little group of friends went round and some haven't seen him before so that was nice.
Then yesterday evening we went to Nandos and then we were meant to go bowling but we hadn't booked so had to wait ages and myself and one of my friends had said we would go meet another friend whose birthday it was in town so we headed out.I didn't drink so didn't spend anything which was good and it was a fun night.
We might be going to see OH's nieces later and then we will be heading back up to London. Need to get some more petrol arghh so expensive at the moment.
I am still not doing too bad moneywise, definitely better than last month. The next couple of weeks will be move focused so the money will be needed for moving stuff.
Haylez - H and M and New Look have been good for the holiday bargains! Hope you are well too.0 -
We went to see OH's nieces yesterday which was really nice. took a little basket my Grandma had for the older ones shop and she loved it, had to play shopkeepers with her for ages. She was cuddling up to me on the sofa too awww can't wait to be their Godmother!
I spent a bit today on some food although didn't do a big shop as is only OH and me this week and he is working late most nights anyway. Did get some salad bits and pitta breads for my lunch. The diet isn't going too bad and lost a lb this morning when I weighed myself from the last week so going in the right direction.
I have hopefully sorted out my reference for the flat.My work said they hadn't been requested one but hopefully should have faxed one over today. Hopefully OH has sorted his too. I did manage to sort out contents insurance and wasn't too much which is good. Going to do a list tomorrow of all the things I need to change address on.0 -
Sounds like you're very relaxed and organised about everything, if I were moving house AND going on holiday I'd be flapping!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Hey Wendz,
Haven't logged on in quite a few days but it sounds like you are all set for the big move. Hope you're not too stressed.
Sounds like your diet is going really well too.
Keep up the good work! :TMoney paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

Well the good news is they have our references now and Oh has paid rest of deposit and foirst months rent so we are ready to go ekk. Exciting!
I just tried to apply for a 0% credit card and got rejected. I have a credit card already that we pay off each month so is a bit odd. Think it might be because i tried to apply with new flat address and have no other bills or anything there yet... hmmm. We were going to use it to pay for sofas and then pay it off after we have finished paying Dad for car. Might try again after we have moved in and everything is sorted.
Tete - I think I will be flapping very soon!0 -
How exciting chick! Not long now! Yay!
Could you maybe try and get the card when you are settled in the new home? Sounds like a good idea to pay for sofas on it.
Awww your nieces sound soooo cute! The very best things in life ... are free!
