Hehe wherever I go I always end up with sweets!
Well OH didn't get in till 10 this morning after starting at 6 last night poor thing. At least we will have some extra pennies for new flat stuff.
I am going to have to sneak round today so can't do anything in bedroom while OH sleeps. The plan is to clean the bathroom and then I might do a bit of the lounge although the lounge isn't too bad. I also need to go to the shop and get some veg for the roast I am going to make this afternoon.
Oh yeah and also I just managed to redeem for a cheque from GTM. I made sure it gets sent to my Mums as prob won't be in this flat by the time it arrives.0 -
Wow, well done for being headhunted chick, cool! Bet that's a good feeling.
Well done with all the cleaning, once i get into cleaning i actually enjoy it, sounds like you have done a really good job! The landlord will be happy.
Ouch, poor OH. The longest my OH has been on a shift is 36 hours. I wasn't very impressed as i was concerned about his health staying awake for so long with limited food and drink. He does quite a few shifts where he's at work for at least 15 hours, he loves it though. Like you it's annoying having to sneak round the place whilst he sleeps. The roast sounds yum. I was going to do a roast today but it's always a bit of a hassle just for two people.
Have a nice Sunday! The very best things in life ... are free!

Wow 36 hours. Worst OH has done is starting at 6 am and getting home at 4am so thats about 22 hrs. Will look forward to the 36 hour ones lol! He is the same though, loves it so he doesn't care. That might be you too if you get in!
I have just been to the shop and bought some potatoes, carrots and parsnip for the roast. I also got some lunch and spent 2 pounds ish so not bad at all.
I finished the bathroom as well. A bit tired from cleaning now so will probably leave the bedroom/lounge for next weekend. At least they are not so hard to clean.0 -
Blimey wendz all this talk of non-stop cleaning is making me tired thinking about you slaving away! But then im tired full stop nowadays!:D
What area is your flat in? It reminds me of the apartments ive seen on the key in Brighton...does anyone know the ones i mean? They have shops and restaurants etc etc below them. Haha well don't worry I have spent the rest of this afternoon chilling out and watching TV. You need to be resting so don't you feel guilty about it!!
The flat is in Hemel Hempstead, it is called Apsley Lock the complex (not sure if that is the right word) of flats . I think I have seen those, my sister was at uni in Brighton so used to go visit her. They are really lovely. I think it makes all the difference living in a nice area. Are you going to be looking for a place soon?0 -
Sounds like you have been a very busy bee Wendz with all this cleaning. Your landlord will be very happy. Do you have a deposit to come back to you when you leave? Bit of extra money if you do. Your new flat sounds really lovely. Hope you are very happy there.
Blimey, sounds like they have to work very long hours in the police. I don't think I could cope! I used to work 10 hour days and that was bad enough.
Your roast dinner sounds delicious, parsnips are my fave.Money paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

Exciting news yetsterday. I had an e-mail from someone from a different company head hunting me! I have never been headhunted before. They said someone had told them I am really good...want to know who hehe. My manager said it was probably one of the contractors. I don't want to move so politely declined but I am hoping to use the fact they did that towards when I ask for a payrise with my current company.
Wow, well done you! :T Definitely calls for a payrise after you've been so loyal!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Well today has been OK. Went to the cinema after work with the free tickets to see The Blind Side. Ended up going with a girl from work as OH was too tired to go, annoyed me a bit as wanted to spend some time with him but have forgiven him as he has been working hard this weekend. Was a really good film though and I would recommend it.
I spent a little bit on food but not much and as the cinema ticket was free not bad. The girl I went with paid for our treats for the cinema too bless her.
Hayley - yeah we should be getting back our deposit,. fingers crossed. Just need to find the money till we get that back. Think we should manage to scrape it together between us.0 -
Well unfortunately I have well and truely run out of money and am now eating out of the OD which will have to come from next months pay. Only 5 days till payday....
Tuesday evening I went to a work quiz and it was free food and drink so that was good but drank a bit too much for a Tues.
We are getting taken somewhere nice for lunch tomorrow too with work so at least I am having some nice freebies to make me feel better till payday.
This weekend I am going to sit down and work out how much money we need to get together for the flat deposit etc so that OH has it all in his account ready.0 -
I think you do actually have the perfect job!
