OOPS just saw this thread; next time please ask Martin to send it as a daily tip/advice or else... that money would have been handy now...

Congrat to all who got their cheque.
Working from home for over 10 years, contact me for more details.
  • My ex husband was eligible to claim this for our son (after I gave him the relevant numbers etc... to call - he subsequently filled in the form and sent it back)
However he now tells me that apparently the money will be coming back to him in the form of a rebate and he hasn't recieved a cheque or any cash as such (and is generally very sketchy about the details)

I notice most people on here have recieved a cheque - tbh I am a little mistrustful of my ex when it comes to money and though I am hoping that he wouldn't try to do our son out of any savings (I had suggested we deposit the money in to his savings account) it seems a little odd that he hasn't recieved a cheque as others appear to have?

Is there anybody who has claimed this that hasn't recieved the payment in the form of a cheque?

I sent off the form a few days before the deadline - haven't received a cheque yet though. Do you just receive the cheque or do you get some sort of letter first? I'm pretty sure ours wasn't sorted at the time - I'd definitely remember getting that sum of money!

It's actually very misleading to state that this tax credit was "non means tested".

Any earnings over £29000 would rapidly decrease the tax credit due until it reached £0.

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
