Anyone with children born between April 86 and April 03 - money to be had from HMRC

I heard on the radio this morning that HMRC reckon 90-95% of people did get this sorted at the time. No reason not to claim if you're unsure, however, and the radio programme did say to apply direct to HMRC not use one of the companies which offers to do it for you.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Do you have to call your local tax office, or the tax office where your wages were sorted out from?Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0

i actualy rang up and asked over the phone to see if i was intitled to it, and unfortunatley im not0

Sorry is this is a daft question but is this the actual form I would need to fill in to see if I'm entitled to a repayment? My oh has downloaded a different form through an agency and its a bit different to this one.

I rang the tax office this morning to see if I would be entitled to claim anything and the guy on the other end told me that I would be and to download the forms and post them ASAP as it would take 6 or 7 days for them to reach me in the mail. Have now done this and sent them 1st class recorded so will have to see what happens now. Hope that he wasn't just trying to fob me off this morning, could do with a bit of a windfall at the moment to help me sort my life out. Many thanks to the OP for this. I'd never have known anything about it without MSE!!!loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0

loobylou, is the claim form you used definitely the one that has the link on this thread? The one I opened on here was called children's tax credit, not tax allowance?Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0

As loobyloo doesn't seem to be on here now, can anyone kindly let me know if it is definitely this link that has been posted for the correct application form? http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/11ctc.pdf
Also, if it is that form, I can't see an address to send it to once it has been filled in, I would be so very grateful if someone could post the address to send it back to especially as the deadline is so close now.

Sorry guys, yes the form is called 11 CTC. Just hope mine gets sorted out now as the man I spoke to on the phone yesterday gave me an address in Bradford to send it back to but I've since found out my local tax office is in Leeds!!!! AAArgh....... Sent it recorded though so I'll be able to check that at least the Bradford office has received it. Surely they all liase with each other anyway???loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0
