  • My daughter was born 1998. She lived full time with me and her dad till 2001 when we were divorced. From 2001 she spends every other weekend with me and lives with her dad full time. My tax code at end of April 2003 P60 is L, but she did not live with me full time from 2002.

Its not a scam if you go through the official HMRC website but DO NOT follow any links that lead to other websites that will charge you for claiming back this money that is due to you.
  • Hi, New here but have been lurking a while.
Just wanted to say thank you to all those who posted info about claiming back money from HMRC if you had children between 1986-2003.

After reading the other thread that was posted about this topic I decided to send a letter to my local tax office in Cambridgeshire.

Never thought I'd have any luck but today have received a cheque for £1049.18 plus a tax rebate of £91.00.

Couldn't have come at a better time of year!!

Again thanks - without this board I would have never known about making a claim!

Typical, my youngest child was born on the 10th April 2003  but he was due on the 5th..will that count?

When it says to be elegible you must have worked and paid tax for all or part of 2002/2003, can that mean either me or OH?

I read through ALL pages of the other thread and have now filled out a claim form which I will send by recorded post Monday morning. I really hope we get the success some of you have had. Don't see a reason why we won't..OH's tax codes on P60'S all end in an L..from what Ive read, that means his tax code wasn't altered,so we are due a refund :T Please someone correct me if Im wrong though!
