Sent an email last night pointing out my dissatisfaction. Had this reply this morning:
"Hi
Thank you for your email.
Your item is now on shipping manifest and will be dispatched to you within the next 24 hours. The delivery period should be within 7 postal days from the date when we sent the item to you."
Just checked my order, shipping date has indeed changed until tomorrow. Hopefully its just coincidence, but I'd urge you to check your orders and email them if your status hasn't changed0 -
Mine says it Series 4 has been 'shipped' today 22nd Jan and the others are to be 'ready-to ship' tomorrow 23rd Jan.0

Just to let you know I got my complete order from DVDCrave of The Wire Season 1-4. Cheap at AUD $75.08 or £35.97. Made it £8.99 per season including Airmail delivery. BTW they are all R2/R4 discs."Money is truthful. If a person speaks of their honour, make sure they pay in cash."0

SUCH a good series. Not sure if any of you guys listen to rap music, but I started listening to the roots around the same time I started watching all seasons of the wire. They complement each other PERFECTLY, the main rapper in the roots, (black thought) sings about similar scenarios to what you see going on in the show.
It makes you appreciate how authentic the dialogue in the show is as well, because the roots are from south philly, they lived in a very similar environment to where the wire is set, the language/slang is similar between the two. Great band, great show.0 -
Ordered all four series, and have all been sent out, can't wait!0

NO.. got amex bull yesterday .. the refund was £1.29 less than they took originally. The dollar amounts were the same but they seem to have made on the exchange rate.. They will be getting a rather sharp email from me seeing as they shouldn't take the money if they don't have the item ready for despatch.
Am watching season1 for free on Virgin media.HLK

there's a feature on wiki here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_codes
which states As of 2007, many "multi-region" DVD players defeat regional lockout and RCE by automatically identifying and matching a disc's region code and/or allowing the user to manually select a particular region.[2][3] Some manufacturers of DVD players now freely supply information on how to disable regional lockout, and on some recent models, it appears to be disabled by default.[4][5] Programs such as DVD Shrink are also capable of removing RCE protection, provided the operator knows what the region of the disk actually is. If the region is specified correctly, the copy will play in any region.
most dvd players now if you do a search on google for something like dvd region codes will come up with a site where you can select your dvd player and how to accept all DVD regions usually just by pressing a few buttons on the remote.0 -
