Thats it I have had enough of ebay

So many buyers come in at the last minute and don't have time to read the description - if the discription is clear, then that should be the buyers problem, not the sellers.
However, if sellers are finding that buyers are frequently "not understanding" their descriptions, then maybe the descriptions need changing.0 -
we have still not heard anything back from either of these buyers, one is now a week and 3 emails deep, and the other since friday.
so eager to complain, yet so shy when it comes to issuing a refund.:grouphug:
no wonder he has a smile on his face...0 -
I think you lot are being quite hard on Buyers. I have been bitten by ebay recently - see what you think of this from a Buyer's perspective.
I ordered some Yankee Candle wax tarts from a Seller who in his ad said he would substitute fragrances on request. I sent in my request the same day to be told by him that he had already sent the original package off. No great loss I thought. One week later the pack had not arrived so I emailed him and he said that he had sent the pack however sometimes it takes two weeks to arrive! - I didn't think Royal Mail were so bad. Anyway didn't quibble really as the postage was advertised as free (maybe he didn't put any on??).
On the second week, still after no arrival I emailed the Seller again and he said he would re-send and make a claim against PO.
After another week had passed and neither the first nor second packs had arrived I decided to cancel the order. Checked my VISA bill and the payment had not been taken - went to claim back off Paypal and found that the payment had not gone through (don't know why). Emailed the Seller and told him that I had not received any of his packs and wanted to cancel order and apologised to him for the fact that the payment had not gone through - suggested we agree to leave things as they were as had the packs arrived I would have made payment to him. He sent me a disgruntled email back complaining that he was out of pocket.
Has left me wondering whether he knew the payment had not gone through in the first place and had never sent the items. So if this was the case why not communicate with me in the first place so that I could have rectified the situation.
You see, a little communication can work both ways - not just for the Sellers!Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
