I've only got a quid in there (opened it, added £100 later to get points, then took it out). I rang them today because they have sent me so much junk in the past few weeks I thought I would be doing them and me a favour by just closing it.

Half an hour of being on hold later, I've diarised to sort next month. It's such a sick feeling hanging up after having been on hold for so long, not knowing how close you were to finally speaking to someone. And it was an 0845 number (although it won't be me picking up the tab on that one )

HSBC are definitely not to blame, I have never had a problem with my HSBC online banking, their FP's service is brilliant (like Tesco's used to be before the upgrade).
Although not to sure about this new security gadget you have to have with you even when you are just wanting to login in to you HSBC account without carrying out any transactions.

I have managed to lock up my internet savings account and cannot get Tesco to answer there telephone. Waited and waited for what seems ages...

Not that impressed ...
