Phew back from work...spoke to soon about it not being busy! BB I think it was on Gok's programme about Evans clothes and they got them in and showed them how awful they were on larger ladies....glad to see they took his advice and changed their style

thing is sally - they haven't!
The dresses are either tied in the middle, which cuts someone in half, are knee length and flared which accentuates hips and calves or are empire line which makes anyone large look about 5 years pregnant!
they go through phases of trying to be young and funky but fail. Some of the stuff someone who is an 18/20 can get away with but some of it is really only good for a size 16. I used to model for them years ago (secret past of Burlesque Babe;) ) and the designs were much better then.
I reckon I should design for them........

you should BB!!
Wow - a model eh, you dark horse you!!
I'd always harboured ambitions about being a plus size model... too short by far.... and probably not good looking enough!
I got the application forms to go on how to look good naked, but Big G said he'd be mortified if i stood on TV in my briget jones pants! i don't even wear BJ pants!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I was being sarcastic BB, thats what I mean they haven't taken any of the advice he gave and basically he said all of the things you just did. Oh do you have any pictures of your modelling days...get you, how impressed am I.
Maz, you should go for it, fill in those applications. I think anything that gives women a boost, makes them realise that they are gorgeous no matter what size is a great great thing. We would come along and sit in the audience bit at the end and cheer you on hun!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. yeah, did a bit about 13 years ago for Evans, Jacques Vert Plus, few other bits and pieces, but not much, I won a modelling competition but didn't really push myself. The 'proper' evans models haven't got a scrap of meat on them, they are simply tall and 'bigger' proportioned. One I did some work with was a size 20, you wouldn't have believed it though. Another one used to be a size 10 mainstream model but had to basically starve and exercise all day every day to stay that way, so she let herself be her natural shape/frame and she became a really successful 16+ model instead.

BB - would love to see pics!! post post post!!!!
Sal - my trouble is, i don't really have any self esteem issues, i know i am big, but i don't let it bother me, i used to be able to pull the blokes (now i don't try cause i end up in trouble
) and like to think i still could if i wanted to... does it make me sound big headed.. ??
HTLGN wanted you to detail how you felt, and really lay it on thick, when anyone who knows me well would say i didn't really have those insecurities... what i really need is an extreme makeover or the biggest loser where the changes are more physical than psychological...!
I need a nip, tuck, diet and exercise not psychoanalysis!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Wow BB. Its like you see the Plus sized models on things like LK today and This morning and they don't look 16/18/20 and there isnt any fat on them at all. I mean there are people like that obviously and I guess these kind of models show off the clothes in the best possible way, but the majority of people who are plus sized have more on them and a bit of fat here and there! (I don't mean that to sound nasty) I mean I have plenty of fatty wobbly bits and enough cellulite to feed an armyI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
